Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Bay

Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Bay, Village Lane, Fairfield Bay, AR, USA

Some things you should know before booking

Overall our trip was peaceful and enjoyable, but there are several things that travellers will want to know. First, many of the advertised amenities are not included in the price like the many other resorts we have stayed in. They charged us $2.00 per person each time we played tennis. Not a lot… but annoying. Putt putt was going to cost us $42 for 4 of us. Many other properties this is also free to guests, and it is advertised as “things to do on property”. Also, Wyndham should inform everyone at booking that this is a dry county and the closest alcohol is a 75-minute drive away. Coming from New Orleans, this was a shock and we could have planned if we had known. T

The resort was nice but getting around was difficult. Our GPS kept directing us to roads that had not yet been paved and the maps and oral directions given by staff were always horrible. We stayed in the Mountain Ridge area and our room had multiple problems because it had completed renovations just a few hours before our arrival. Maintenance had to be called 5 times during our stay but they were always pleasant and quick to work out issues. The pools were all lovely but the only hot tub was at the town’s indoor fitness center that Wyndham guests are allowed access too. Beautiful country and many fun things to keep the family busy but prior planning and improved service would be helpful.
