Diamond Resorts Tahoe Seasons Resort

Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort by Diamond Resorts

Very Disappointed

We are timeshare owners at another location here in Tahoe and wanted to stay an extra couple of days somewhere different so decided to try this location. What a mistake. Attempted to check in early, not happening but not a big deal. Hours later, we got a call that our room was ready so we packed up all our gear and our 4-year-old into a luggage cart and slowly made our way upstairs. Boom.

The hallway is piled literally higher than my 4-year-old with towels and linens. We attempt to enter our room and we are stopped by housekeeping that isn’t done cleaning the room yet. We call the front desk and the housekeeping manager says we can go ahead and enter the room. She said it was ok, just hadn’t been inspected yet. Later we found all the used towels from the previous occupants in the cabinet under the sink so probably shouldn’t skip those inspections.

We called the front desk to have them come to get the nasty towels and they questioned us as to whether they were just the rolled up extra towels! Seriously, we know the difference between extra towels and the nasty wet pile of used towels shoved under the sink. They came and got them with no fanfare.

Went to happy hour and had some very watered down drinks but honestly, I didn’t expect anything more at this point. All seemed ok until about 3:45 AM in the morning when some macho jocks decided they wanted to fight each other in the parking lot next to our balcony. The profanity and yelling went on for quite some time and then they decided to have an entire pack of cigarettes outside our window for the next half hour so our room became filled with cigarette smoke.

Understand that this is a timeshare resort so, at every moment from the moment you arrive, they are trying to sell you something or send you to their affiliates or partners around town. I really don’t think we will come back here unless we are really in a pinch.

That being said, the room we have is nice. Living room, small dining area, smaller than normal fridge but full-size stove and oven. Mini dishwasher and mini sink. The bathroom is large with a large tub which was nice. We had the suite so there is an attached separate bedroom which is good when you have a toddler. It would be nice if there was a deadbolt on the patio door up high so we could be a little more comfortable with the kid sleeping in the front room.
