Stayed here for my birthday weekend and got to say was disappointed, wasn’t given any information about the spa upon arrival had to ask about everything even though we’d paid for it.
The room itself was nice with good views of the lake although the bathroom could have done with updating.
Didn’t sleep a wink as the radiators kept banging even at 2-3am also sounded like was next to a boiler room? Room (342) bed was right up against corridor wall so can hear people walking along the creaky floor at all hours.
The spa is nice with plenty of different things to use and were all fully functioning whilst we were there.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast experience which I had high hopes for, ordered poached eggs baring in mind it was quiet period with plenty of staff and they didn’t arrive after 20 minutes told one waitress then they still didn’t show up although other people were being brought there’s, after nearly 30 minutes and forgotten about twice and needed to ask three times they came and got to say didn’t enjoy them or any of the other cooked breakfast settled for cereal the second day! Didn’t expect this from Mottram hall.
Wouldn’t return or recommend and for me a struggling hotel not offering good value for money.
