Don’t fall for the scam they call a “vacation package”.

While booking a hotel in Charlotte NC by phone I was sold a $800 package for 4 nights anywhere I chose. I booked a trip to St. Thomas 7 months in advance. Flights were booked, private boat charters were booked and multiple other things. 3 weeks before my trip I was contacted by a very rude lady who informed me that because I was “legally separated” but not divorced I could not use the vacation. Nothing was mentioned about this during booking or during the many phone calls I received from my vacation specialist. I was told I had to pay an extra $2,000 if I wanted to stay in the room I had booked and that the hotel was booked so there were no other options. Since it was too late to cancel flights I ended up paying $2,800 for a room at a different resort after I had already paid $800 for the so called “package”. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away.
