Holiday Inn Club Vacations Scottsdale Resort

I need to pace myself as I write this because there is so much bad to say I would hate to miss something. This is a very inexpensively renovated OLD apartment complex. The walls are thin and rooms noises. Stairs to every unit, a third of which are below ground level…NO ELEVATOR! Rooms have no view, very small shared balconies complete with ashtrays. Small pools are freezing cold–saves Money not to heat. It appears to be a ghost town with no employee or guest in sight except for the guests above us we could hear stomping around for our entire stay. This place could be in a reality TV show about how to do the minimum in a renovation. The contracts are low bidders too. It won’t be long until the crappy tile jobs show. Toilet already broken, sink leaks, and mould growing in the shower. As terrible as the facility is, I must now concentrate on what really makes it stand out–the poor customer service.

Upon check-in, I asked for my golf clubs I had mailed here the day before with my name on the outside of the golf case. After 4 calls to the front desk Over 8 hours where they insisted this was a big property and they could be anywhere and I should call the shipper to ask who had them, they finally found them. The filthy room with toenails and skin flakes on the bedroom carpet. The living room with crumbs and dirt or the floors with sticky stains. I never saw a maid in our entire 3 day stay anywhere on the property cleaning any room. When I asked to have our room cleaned from the previous guests, I was told they would have to charge me if I wanted that done. No one picked up garbage and there was nowhere to deposit it.

The timeshare presentation was really bad. The employee told me I was wasting her time since I would never buy. She couldn’t wait to get rid of me and “start her day” since “I had wasted her time.” She wanted $42,000 and $800/month for life to have one week a year in this dump. These sell on eBay with starting bids of $1. No thanks. I am an IHG platinum member and this facility and employee group are an embarrassment to the brand. This is the worst stay option in Scottsdale. If you stay anywhere else, you will be happier. Newly renovated? Like slapping paint on a pig. This place is terrible and it will only get worse from here. I feel very sorry for anyone who gets talked into paying $42,000 for this place as a timeshare owner. Your investment will be worth $0 after your 48 hour contract revocation time period expires.
