Holiday Inn Club Vacations Ozark Mountain Resort

We stayed at the Ozark Mt. Resort on an RCI exchange during a cross-country trip and were very disappointed. There are a few (maybe 15%) new “Presidential View” units that look very nice from the outside, but the rest of the place is a very far cry from an RCI gold crown resort. Obviously, from this review, we were in one of the older units, which represent the majority of the place in any case.

The people at the resort were all pleasant, but the resort itself is very run down. Our room furnishings were cheap and old. The laundry area was dirty, and the “activity center, although well stocked for kids, was also in need of a major renovation. Also, no one at the center could give us any guidance regarding hiking in the area.

The “nature trail” was a joke. It’s an old dirt path that runs directly behind a few of the buildings. Most of the rooms entail a “hike” because there are many stairs to climb, although the resort is very clear about this when booking, so no points off for the stairs.

When we entered our room there were cobwebs on the blinds, and the windows were tough to open. We have stayed in many RCI gold crown resorts, and this one was by far the worst.

If you plan on staying here I suggest insisting on a new Presidential View suite, or else find another place to stay. Branson is loaded with choices, and many will be better.
