Holiday Inn Club Vacations Galveston Beach Resort

Beware of my Horrible & Nasty Experience

Be careful this hotel is run down and needs immediate upgrades.

I’m a Timeshare owner with Holiday Inn and this experience has been very disappointing especially for costing me 121,000 points. I booked 6 months ago because of the amazing description of the resort and pictures on the reservation website.

The website states the hotel has multiple “Nearby” amenities, which is a lie you have to drive 7-8 miles at least to see and or do anything. I booked the deluxe room, which is 724 square feet and you share the centre entrance with the one bedroom (B) neighbour that has a 449 square feet room. Both sleep four people, but our first neighbours had 4 children, 2 adults and an infant. Let’s just say you hear everything they say and do as you share the same entrance to your room.

The first neighbour decided to use the shared washer and dryer 3-4 times a day and wash her cloth diapers constantly that’s disgusting. We did not do one load of laundry, due to sharing it with your neighbour. People these days can not share or watch their children as multiple children ran up and down the hallway playing.

Our next neighbours had 4 adults and 4 children staying in that tiny room. We heard all of their air beds and furniture being moved throughout the night during their amazing challenge of figuring out how to sleep 8 in a 449 square foot room.

Be ready for the people in the room above you to constantly move their furniture around in an attempt to sleep all of their people they bring, which is very annoying at 0200 in the morning. I observed multiple people drop their children off in the parking lot and leave them to swim for the day. I observed multiple families walk from the beach up to the swimming pool and stay for the day.

There is not a secure entrance to the pool from the beach so plenty of people use that route to swim for free at the hotel. One night my wife and I could smell marijuana and observed several individuals smoking it from the balcony, which faced the swimming pool. The game room has an air hockey table, which was broken and foosball table, which also costs money. I advised the front desk clerk about all of the above-listed issues and to my knowledge nothing was done. Be ready for a loud and crazy stay at this hotel, which is frustrating since it costs so many points to stay there.

We will never go back there again and we even left 3 days prior to our departure date and began our long drive back to California. Thanks, Holiday Inn Club Vacations for the miserable experience at Galveston Beach Texas.
