Great till the END!
I stayed over at Grande Villas Resort over the Thanksgiving Break. Let me say this first if you do book this place be sure you tell them this place is located in Cypress Point because no TAXI drivers know where it is unless you tell them that.
But most importantly, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR ROOM AND REPORT ANY DAMAGES THAT YOU FIND.
Honestly, this was a mistake on my part as I knew this was going to happen but continue reading to find out what happened.
When we first enter the room, the first thing we notice was one of the sofa chairs cushion being lifted up and there was a big hole underneath it as if someone punches a hole through it. Next, one of our travel mates found out the strings attached to the lights fell and that her shower room door handle broke just as she pulled on it. This should’ve been a red flag on my books and again I should’ve reported it right away but didn’t, thinking they knew about the damages. Naive on my part.
When we finally checked out and 4 hours later, we received a call and the hotel manager told us that they “found” the hole on the sofa chair. We told them about our story and they didn’t listen because obviously they need someone to take responsibility for it and it can’t be them. But the thing I found that was the weirdest of it, is that normally cleaning staff don’t check that area unless they already know about it. We made sure to tidy up the room and everything was in place and yet they check underneath the sofabed and somehow miss the door handle, etc.
SO PLEASE BE AWARE AND REPORT RIGHT AWAY!
