Timeshare Release - Clube Vilarosa Complaints, Claims & Compensation

Clube Vilarosa

Not an all-inclusive and not for kids.

It is not a proper hotel but more of apartments resort and for sure it is not for all inclusive guests with kids.“The hotel” is not an all-inclusive at all. The so-called dining area is very small and consist of one hot station and one salad station plus bread and juice machine, so the choice is very limited and repetitive and very often there are no free tables for the guests ( they have two high chairs for kids for all the guests which is a joke ) I am not a fussy eater but had to skip a few meals during our stay as there was nothing I could choose and end up in the local shops buying food and snacks.

The breakfast is the same every day and looks more like a basic Travelodge small buffet.

Lunch is made of one meat dish, one fish dish and few salads made of leftover veggies from last days, very poor as you can tell they using produce from previous days to make some dishes the day after. At dinner, you have the same scenario.

Basically, you eating something because you need to not to enjoy. There is nothing in between (except ice creams ) so you need to buy some snacks at the bar or in the local shops to not starve. Regarding other all-inclusive options, there are time slots for it: spirits are served from 7pm to 11pm which is very short as an all-inclusive option and ice creams from 11 and not a minute earlier. The “hotel” run out of few items at the time of our visit so clearly was not prepared ( ice creams, juices, tomato sauce, alcohol, coffee to mention a few )

There`s no space, club or even a room for kids at all just the pool and a slide outside so the evenings or cloudy weather are a torture for them as they need to use old dart machine or wait in the cue to use old pool table which you need to pay for to use as well and are situated in a bar area with people smoking and drinking.

There`s no entertainment team at all at “the hotel” ( a dodgy local guy with a turtle and a snake doesn`t count ) so the only option is to sit in the bar watching old music channel ( if you are lucky to get a sit ) or better option is to rent a car and explore or go to the beach which is not far away.

It is not a proper hotel but more of apartments resort and for sure it is not for all inclusive guests with kids. Stayed in October our party consisted of two families of four ( 2 adults and 2 kids) and despite of previously emailing “the hotel” we were put in separate buildings far away from each other.

Unfortunately, our room was located on the top floor without any lift, mind we had 2 years old with us so it was rather unsafe to climb often wet outside stairs.

We`ve tried the relocation but were told “it`s fully booked” It doesn`t deserve a 3* at all and shouldn`t be advertised as an All-inclusive family hotel.

It can only be used as a base to sleep. Not worth the money paid at all.

We have visited 3* hotel Auramar in Albufeira and it was very nice. Shame as Portimao is a nice place and the coast around is very scenic with nice beaches but the Clube Vilarosa didn`t met our expectations at all and we would never recommend it.
