Club Pyla Beach Resort

‘Fawlty Villas’

The building is very hard to find, approx. 1 hr driving up and down the area, because its name is the ‘Tsialis Hotel’. On arrival noticed the building is very tired with an exceptional amount of stray cats roaming about, fed by one guest. The receptionist was a lot to be desired, didn’t seem to be bothered, although he did carry our cases to our top floor rooms. The room is in need of a refurb and decorating, large balcony looking out over a debris and lorry park, a/c worked, the very basic amount of utensils and china.

When having shower my head hit ceiling and shower hose too short, water really did just trickle out, whether its being on top floor ?. NO WIFI !!! .

Bedding changed once on a very uncomfortable bed. Leisure facilities were a Pool table so old, no bounce on cushions and surface rippled when placing a hand on it, god forbid asking for any chalk, that comes with a face of disdain and a full investigation, so did asking for a drink at the bar, which after tasting the wine was a godsend. Saw no food anywhere.

The pool water was not an inviting colour, so that was by-passed. We toured the area and found more or less just supermarkets open, the only blessing was a very nice Cafe Nero that was open. Visited the beach across the road and found lots of litter and rubbish, so no go for us. So we drove 43kms each day to the lovely beach at the Nissi Beach Club.

I have taken into account its early season, but, still this should not affect the building, I will never visit the hotel or area again.
