Club La Costa San Diego Suites

Having just returned from our second stay this year at Club La Costa World I have to say we feel a little let down by the San Diego Suites. Promising 5-star quality throughout I’m afraid it does not deliver.

As ever with CLC, the pool areas, bars and restaurant are keep to a very high standard and all are more than comfortable.

Our disappointment stems from our apartment(745a). Being a longtime member of CLC maybe we have been spoilt over the years with some of the places we have been fortunate enough to stay. Although our one bedroom had everything you would expect it to have, certain items are getting very dated and if promising 5-star facilities then please deliver on that promise.

The Sofa bed in the lounge area is so tired that we spent a week trying to find some way to fix the cushions that we could actually sit with a degree of comfort on it.

The only single chair way a wrought iron chair with a cushion which proved so uncomfortable as to be useless.

The TV did not have any of the connections needed to use along with an iPad.

None of these things ruined our holiday but then did leave us feeling we had to use extra points for something special and got less than normal. We stayed in Marina Del Sol earlier this year and our apartment was much better and even the TV worked with an iPad.

We are returning to Marina Del Sol in January next as we feel it offers nicer accommodation than San Diego.

Please take this as constructive as the overall offer is still very good, it’s just not as good as you may believe it to be.
