Sub-Par Diamond Resort Establishment
We are owners of a Diamond Resort property and was unable to utilize our week due to family obligations and utilized Interval to exchange a one bedroom suite at Oceanaire for another week . We have utilized this practice for several years and there has never been an issue with accommodations. We arrived at Beach Quarters to find out that the hotel was providing us with a studio with no possibility of an upgrade due to an event on the beachfront. We requested to be put in another Diamond Resort property and due to the exchange with Interval the manager stated we had to take it up with Interval. We checked into the room and what a disappointment not only was the room dated and cramped but Sub-Par to other Diamond Resort properties. The comparison would be the Dolphin Inn and that is being polite. Within a half hour we booked another room with a third party booking agent in Ocean Beach Club that per Interval no rooms were available for exchange and checked out of Beach Quarters.
When checking out of the Beach Quarters Resort the manager did nothing to try to accommodate and seemed to agree with our concerns prior to checking out. The Concierge at the Beach Club Resort when checking in couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was comfortable but when we returned a half hour later with concerns about the accommodations referred us to the desk manager. As an owner we lost the week we are entitled to and had to pay full price for a “stay vacationed” that as owners have already paid for. We will be addressing our concerns about The Beach Quarter Resorts being a Diamond Resort Property with Diamond Resort’s General Manager and CEO and make a recommendation that Beach Quarter Resorts not be included from reaping the benefits of being a Diamond Resort property.
