Well Maintained Resort in a Great Area
I meant to book Vacation Villages of Weston but instead booked Vacation Villages of Bonaventure. This sister resort is a mile away. There are no activities at this resort or pool. There is no information desk. However, if you are looking for a nice roomy place to stay as you explore the many activities in the surrounding area, the lack of activities won’t matter. We stayed at VV of Weston last year and discovered that Weston is a great place. It is close to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and Hollywood. There are numerous parks, golf courses and other attractions. My only complaint about the unit was the mattress. When you pressed down on it or turned in made a sound as if it was full of cork flakes, a sort of crunchy sound. Spring Training Trip
Although Spring Training baseball was cancelled we had a great time relaxing at the pool and playing golf at nearby courses. We love the Vacation Village properties in Weston and enjoyed another great vacation there!
Another great getaway at Vacation Village
My wife and I have booked this resort every spring for the past 14 years. Over these years we have seen the resort mature from new and can honestly say the management and staff have done a ghreat job to maintain the buildings and facilities in top condition. Of course you will always run into an issue occasionally, in particular with more mature buildings this goes with any resort, however, the the crew at Vacation Village go out of their way to resolve any issue that may arrise
Clean rooms and good location equals a relaxing visit
We have visited Vacation Villages many times over the years, and the service and housekeeping seems to keep getting better every year. It is located near good places to eat, shop, golf and get entertained. Our 1 room (A Unit) is spacious, with a self contained bedroom, large sitting room with a pull-out bed. Room could easily support 4 persons.
SUV Stolen From Parking Lot
Extremely disappointed in Management of Vacation Village in Weston. My husband and I have been coming down from Massachusetts to stay at this resort property for the past several years for the winter months. However this year’s stay has become a nightmare. Our luxury SUV was stolen from the parking lot right in front of our entrance. We also learned that a couple in the neighboring property also has their luxury SUV (the same make and model as ours) stolen on the same night. Not only is Vacation Villages totally to blame for the total lack of nighttime security but I am even more disgusted that we have not heard a word from management. All they care about is keeping these incidents from reaching the public. They obviously don’t care at all about their longtime residents.
Some Problems this Time
We have used Vacation Village in Weston several times. This time we had a studio with a half-size kitchen (portable 2-burner stove stored under the counter) and only one window, which is in the bedroom, not the room you spend time in. Our unit had problems with the A/C which maintenance tried to fix but was not successful with. The unit had a slight bothersome odor which cleaners tried to find but didn’t. The kitchen vent did not seem to help the problem (maybe not working?). We used the pool and it was well maintained, and we attended the aqua fitness class which was fun. The weather was great in south Florida and the area is good for bicycle riding!
Vacation Village
Unfortunately as an RCI member, you get the “leftovers”. You have a “B” room which is very small and no balcony. The staff is great and very helpful, but the grounds are getting old and outdated. You are staying about a mile away from the main pool area, where all the activities are. The beds are not very comfortable either.
