Great resort but be beware of the Karaoke!
We have been coming here and Holywood Mirage for over 10 years. The apartments in the Paramount are splendid. We tend to visit around Christmas time.
However, there is one big downside to our returning to the resort. The bars across the road stay open until very late. I can party with rest but noise until 3.30am was constant every night. The bars were not built when we bought into the Paramount but have become an increasing headache!
Constantly getting a poor night’s sleep is not acceptable. We are considering not coming back to what is otherwise a fantastic apartment.

Welcome bit of luxury
Stayed for a week with another couple (they have a points share so it was their place).
We had visited them a couple of years earlier and had been very impressed and jumped with the chance to stay here.
Staff absolutely brilliant, night porter on arrival, fab.The young lady at the pool bar, cheery and chatty. Day staff and cleaners all good.
Pool area very clean (as was everywhere) and plenty of loungers for all and pool pillows.
Rooms enormous and very well kitted out, dishwasher etc.
Some of the fixtures are nearing the end of life and could do with modernising in the next year or two. Nothing hanging off or damaged, just looking dated but still high end so don’t be put off!
The area boasts lots of quality restaurants and bars, as well as the cheaper bars so plenty of entertainment.
The only reason I cannot give full marks was I sometimes felt on display as a regular stream of customers were shown round looking down to the pool area from the above balcony from reception.
That said I would not hesitate to return, and plan to. Book and enjoy!
Little colourful oasis
Great apartments, it was the second time that we have stayed here, spacious apartment over 2 floors and with a large roof terrace. It is a quiet place to stay, but across the road from bars and restaurants, so can be a bit noisy at nights, so I would recommend getting an apartment at the back if possible. Has a small bar and café, the grounds are very well kept
Sophisticated Apartments
We stayed here for the second time last week in a two bedroom apartment (Bermuda). This was on three floors, the first floor was a spacious living room and very well equipped kitchen a toilet and a twin room with an en suite bathroom, the second floor a double en suite bedroom and the top floor a roof terrace with a sea view, with a kitchen, sun beds, shower and a dining area, where we had breakfast each morning. The apartment was cleaned daily with the sheets changed mid week. The only downside to this apartment was the noise from the bars opposite which to be fair was mentioned when we requested an apartment with a sea view.
Helpful staff
We spent our 2nd week at the Paramount and discovered that my husband had left his jumper at the Hollywood Mirage, where we had been staying for our first week. Maria ( on reception) immediately contacted them by email and the jumper was collected the next day.
We were assigned ‘ Portofino’ which has an excellent aspect, benefiting from the winter sun all day. It is also an accessible apartment, unlike ‘Casablanca’ that we were in last year, which was reached by 4 steps.
One of the best
We spent a week in the paramount and the service provided was second to none. The apartment was cleaned every day, linen changed every 2nd day. They were also happy to do the shopping for you. The resort is small and reasonably quiet with more than ample loungers at the pool. The pool towels were the largest I have ever seen covering the whole lounger.
An experience that I will never forget.
