Legacy Resort in Kissimmee Florida fell short of expectations!
I seldom write a negative review; however, this was an exceptionally bad experience.
I was given a one bedroom across the street at 2791 N Poinciana Blvd.
The one bedroom had an adjoining door that I presume would make it a two bedroom. Like most timeshares, the one bedroom had a full kitchen, washer and dryer, dining area, living room, bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom had a good size jacuzzi bathtub. My initial problem was the jacuzzi tub would not start when filled with water. The maintenance staff told me it was necessary for them to remove air from the pump plumbing. I had to call them every day until it was finally fixed.
The adjoining one bedroom was unoccupied the first day and it was very quiet. However, the second day a couple moved in and it became clear there was little to no sound insulation between the two units. It was as though we were all in the same room as their intimate activities and conversations were not muffled at all. I heard every word they said to each other!
Stay Away!
Terrible “suite!” We used our timeshare to come here…costly place as far as timeshares go. But the hubby and I were excited to take a 6 day trip with no kids. This was, hands down, worse than a motel 8 stay! I felt claustrophobic in this “suite.” Yes, it had a mini fridge, microwave, bathroom and beds. (All aforementioned commodities would be of higher quality in any college dorm!) But everything is in the details! If you have any width to you (which I don’t) you would need to walk sideways to not touch the walls in the hallway. Closet was 18″ wide.
Bathroom vanity countertop consists of the sink. Bathroom was full of mold. Everything was dirty and gross. This was the biggest mistake I’ve made in making reservations. I would’ve preferred to have stayed in a typical hotel room compared to this place! In fact, I think I would’ve preferred to stay at a CHEAP hotel instead!
I’m not claustrophobic in any way, but this place made me feel anxious the whole time!
Besides, only 2 towels, no wash clothes, no room service (cleaning), old school spring mattress…I could keep going.
My warning: STAY AWAY!!!
THE WORST!
So let me say this was the WORSTTT hotel I have ever stayed at in my life and for the price!!
BEWARE!!
1. They are going to try and talk you into going to a seminar so they can badger you into purchasing a TIMESHARE with them.
2. A STANDARD ROOM IS THE SIZE OF A SHOE BOX AND IT HAS NOOO MICROWAVE OR REFRIGERATOR, BRING A COOLER!
3. NO HOUSE KEEPING- but for a fee they will come. Only complimentary toilet trees and towels (but you must call for that as well). You have to throw out your own trash or you can call and have them come pick it up at the curb.
4.THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN – you can hear ever single thing going on next door if they drop a pin on the floor you’ll hear it. If your as lucky as me you’ll get to hear your neighbors reenacting a porn through out the night! Which my oldest had to hear!
5. Shower door was off track, rusty and struggle to open, no handles on the shower door as well. I’m sure this was reported but hadn’t been fixed.
6. 1 LIGHT in the room which is a small reading lamp.
7. EXTREMELY busy highway not a good area to walk around, if you want to walk around and check the area out you have to drive to be safe
Legacy Vacation- Bite or Beware!
I was at Legacy for my anniversary weekend as a timeshare owner.
We arrived the first night at the older property site of the resort across the street from the main resort and my husband got bitten on the top of the head and arms by what we thought was a mosquito. The next day my husband experienced severe pain an itching. That night before we went to bed my husband checked the pillows and discovered a bed bug. My husband contained the bed bug and put it in a plastic bag.
My sister in law who stayed in the guest bedroom of our condo was also bitten.
We contacted the front desk and the kind young lady sent security to inspect the premises and remove the bed bug. At 2 am we were told we could leave the premises and be given a different suite. So at 2 am we had to pack all of our belongings including grocery items and move across the street to the newer condos. We had no issues in the newer condos the rest of our stay.
The front desk called us the next day and we were instructed to have anything that was in the old bedroom heat treated. They came and took our clothing to be heat treated. Management also called later that day to inquiry on what happened. We were offered a $45 refund of a resort fee to appease us and that was all that was offered.
We accepted just because we wanted to try and salvage the rest of our anniversary weekend. The manager said we would receive a refund within a week. It is now over a month later and we still never received a refund!
That weekend we also ran into other patrons of the resort who stayed in the older property site who encountered issues and were moved to the newer property site as well. If you stay at Legacy do not stay in the older property.
Despite the incident the hotel front desk and cleaning staff were gracious to us.
It was just a disappointment to have to then be paranoid the rest of our trip thinking we would encounter bed bugs and the severe pain and itching my husband endured every day and the only other rectification was a $45 refund that we never received!
Skeevy and outdated
Arrived on sat. I looked at pictures online and it looked like paradise when i open door to timeshare it was a dive.
I was told this was recently updated but it was not. The worst part was the dirt.
Rug was sticky.
Bathroom all around about 2 inches looked like caked on BLACK dirt.
I did not want to touch couch. I put a sheet over the dirty seat.
When a family member who lives down here saw this she said pack up and leave. AND we did.
I told them at front desk . Also no one told me i had to call daily to get towels and to remove garbage.
I will stay at my own timeshare never again at legacy
Worst timeshare I’ve ever stayed at in 30 years!
I called the day before checking in and they had put my reservation under the name of the person who helped with the timeshare exchange. We were staying at a timeshare 3 miles away, so I drove there and it took over an hour to straighten it out.
We stayed in a studio with no kitchen, except for a microwave and a very small refrigerator that barely worked and a freezer in it that didn’t work.
The walls are paper thin. I could clearly hear the family with children next to me, as if they were standing next to me.
The chair moving in the room above me woke me up several nights.
They gave us bands to wear if we were going to use the pool, basketball court, etc. it was clear to me why the bands were given out on the only night that we used the pool.
There is a large apartment complex right next door and they use the facilities at the timeshare at night when there are no employees around.
We decided not to use the facilities for the remainder of our stay.
There was no trash pick up or fresh towels for the week.
Even if they gave me a room, I won’t be going back
