Holiday Inn Club Vacation Timeshare
a
Nice Resort - DO NOT BUY A TIMESHARE HERE!!!!
We have stayed at this resort several times. The rooms are well maintained and the resort has a lot to do. The first few times we just reserved a room without using timeshare points.
Then Holiday Inn bought the resort with my timeshare and converted my timeshare to points.
I found that renting rooms at the resort without owning timeshare is a much lower cost than the total cost of the maintenance fees and membership fees of owning the timeshare.
In addition, if you are late on your maintenance fees, they will add a $100 per month late fee until you pay. Only a few of the Holiday Inn Club resorts are worth staying at.
They will offer a 90 minute timeshare presentation for some tickets to use the waterslide and putt putt golf at the resort. They will keep you are the presentation for at least 2 and a half hours.
Terrible experience would not buy timeshare here
Everything was a lie and misrepresentation from the onset. I was told for $200 I could bring 4 people and stay at 2 bedroom suite and get theme park passes. I booked my visit then … Ling story short, ended up paying an additional $785 and then told there are no park passes.
On top of that the 2 bedroom suite ended up being a one room with 2 beds for me, my girlfriend, my 21 year old daughter and her 25 year old boyfriend.
After the tour, the representative told me it was my fault I did not have enough money for a deposit to buy the timeshare. I said I had no intention of buying since all that was done and presented were lies to me. Then a manager came and said he’s sorry for my misunderstanding.
I told him it wasn’t my fault Holiday Inn misrepresented what I would be getting and where I would be staying and how much it would cost to visit.
Any way up. Going back to the Holiday Inn on W Iola Bronson Blvd in Kissamee FL I see that someone from the hotel with access to my room went and took oxycodone pills from my bag.
When I went to check out on Sunday May 28, they tried to bill me taxes and accommodation fees. I told them I refuse to pay due to the fact it was all supposed to be covered on the tour side.
They waived the $158 fees and taxes when I said I will have my attorney follow up. I filed a report and complaint with the hotel and corporate office and to date no one has responded back to me.
Don’t get trapped or trucked in to broken promises from this timeshare resort.
Scammed to buy timeshare
Never buy a timeshare from them!
a
Great experience turned horrible
Never will I come back
Snaked into a timeshare hard sell - BEWARE
Stay away from this place!
We were later invited to their timeshare event, and of course, they showed us the time-share model that was new and beautiful, nothing like the room we were in.
This was the major reason why we didn’t purchase timeshare as the information they provided during the presentation is nothing like the true reality..
Now the pool: it’s big and awesome, but it has never been cleaned over the course of my stay. W
e were early birds and got to the pool before 8 am, and every day we saw a ton of beer cans and plastic cups floating in the pool- guess who cleaned that? I did so my child could swim there. The beach beds were covered in mould- dirty!!!! Beach towels were clean and plenty of them was available though.
Lastly, because this is a timeshare– there is no housekeeping service.
I washed my towels every night, I cleaned the bathroom and called in EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR MORE SHAMPOO, toilet paper, washer detergent and etc. No one changed our towels during our stay or refilled those items without a reminder.
We finally had enough and asked a housekeeper to come and at least mop the floors so they’re not that sticky and dirty. Oh, no one even offered to change our room!!! I was stressed out during my whole stay, I have a small baby that still crawls and those floors had hair, nails and other garbage and they were so sticky… Oh gosh….. horrible!!!
Oh lastly, they’re currently under construction so PARDON ALL THE DUST ON THE PROPERTY AND POLLUTED AIR!
But other than that, enjoy your stay!!!
Timeshare presentation
Let me just say….don’t do it. I am (was now) a premier customer of Holiday Inn for years and based on this experience of being scolded and reprimanded by a 30 something salesman, and having him imply that we had taken him and his company for a ride by accepting to go to this presentation, and not buying immediately was beyond offensive. Now, Holiday Inn will say they are a separate company, but as they share the same name, allow the timeshare people in their lobby, and as it was their reservationist who passed me to the timeshare people, I hold them just as accountable. After making a holiday inn reservation, when they passed me to the vacation club the caller said that even if we weren’t going to buy, that’s ok just go down and see a beautiful property. Then he said, “you are a premier customer, we would never do anything to jeopardize that.” That last comment made me agree. Don’t do it. I’m done with all things Holiday Inn.I will NOT be treated that way.
Timeshare Pitch
The pitch was supposed to only last 2 hours but of course, it lasted 4 hours. That would be my first complaint. If you really want us to be interested then don’t lie!! It is possible to do the pitch in 2 hours. The sales guy just added a bunch of BS. I will say Dan the sales guy was ok but they pitch these things like its still 1980!
I guess it must work. Another thing that pissed us off was they did not offer us a real breakfast. They didn’t even have DONUTS!!
They only gave us muffins and a Nutri grain bar. Seriously Holiday Inn Club if you want us to be interested after you lied about the 2 hours then FEED US! Most timeshare pitches will give you some kind of hot breakfast. Not impressed!!
My biggest complaint would be if you want us to buy your program then have us stay on the property. Now Orange Lake is gorgeous but we only saw it for 30 minutes. We actually overheard some people at the pitch say they stayed on the property.
We stayed at a local Holiday Inn. Now yes it was free which was nice but it was a dump.
It needed remodelling and looked like it was from the 80’s.
Now for the pitch, they actually were not as rude as most other timeshare pitches. The salesman looked like he was going to cry when I kept telling him no. So then he gets the manager and he was actually nice and did not put any pressure on us.
So because of this, I would actually recommend this timeshare pitch but I would make sure of the following. I would make sure you are staying at the actual resort with access to all of the amenities Just be prepared to say NO!!!
I am just giving it one star because Holiday Inn Club could do a lot better with this pitch.
