Stay somewhere else
Hot & cold water from taps varied in the showers by the second, by 20 def C., burning hot to ice cold.
No coffee maker in our 2 bdrm, 4-adult unit, no credit for coffee we had to buy in a restaurant.
Complicated thermostat, no instructions ‘until tomorrow’…August in Spain!
No WiFi, ‘tomorrow maybe’, no discount.
Just pass on this place. I live in Honduras and it’s easier to do than this place. At least I know I’m in a 3rd world country in HN & not paying 1st world prices. Very disappointing
AN EXTREMELY SCARY & UNPLEASANT STAY
Where do I start. 13 of us (all female) booked to stay at these apartments on a hen package deal. When we arrived, the apartments seemed clean and tidy, however, this is the only positive comment I have to make on this accommodation.
After an amazing first day and night in Marbella, we arrived back to all 3 of our apartments which had been burgled.
The worst thing about this was that we had left everything securely locked and the burglars appear to have come through the front door of the apartments. When reading the reviews below, it appears that this has happened many times before, all of which the victims say it is an ‘inside job’. There was no sign of forced entry and this is a reoccurring problem at this accommodation.
The resort manager denied all knowledge of anyone else having a key and was extremely unhelpful. We also tried to contact the police to report what had happened and we were told to file a complaint online, which again was extremely unhelpful in the circumstances.
The girls I was with had all their money stolen, along with sentimental jewellery. We were all too scared to sleep for the rest of the trip.
This put a massive downer on the rest of the trip and I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to my worst enemy. If you want to feel safe on holiday, these apartments are not for you!!
Nice quiet location but if you need fast internet, forget it.
Very nice service staff. Good location. Very quaint with beautiful flowers. Nice apartment. The bad: We were charged 20 euros for the “high-speed internet”. Download speeds about 3 mb per second. Upload .50. And only one connection at a time. This is unacceptable in this day and age. I noticed similar complaints a year ago and the management seemed to gloss it over. This was 20 times slower than our other resort (Miraflores) and 160 times slower on the uploads. Fix the internet and we’d stay here again.
Disappointed
Booked this place and expected a high standard apartment and facilities. But the apartment we got was facing the highway pounding on 24/7, this made it difficult to sit outside due to the noise, OK on the inside though. In addition, we were troubled by bugs eating us night and day. We even found cockroaches in the apartment, once in my child’s bed!!!
Nice trailerpark community
Lots of bugs eating me all the night’s pool with lots of kids all day. Nice apartment on the third floor without elevator. close to the highway heavy traffic all day and night. A typical English trailer park community. My kids tried to go to the beach across the highway and then walk for an hour to find a nice beach but gave up and came back.
Pretty gardens, noisy road, average customer service
This is a very pretty resort with lovely, well maintained pretty gardens. We had a 1 bedroom apartment with a small south facing balcony so we had the sun on it all day which was lovely.
The pool was a nice size with plenty of deck and enough sun loungers. Our room was adequate for the two of us but there was no additional storage for another two guests had we used it to full occupancy. The kitchen was well appointed and the overall design with a slight split level between the lounge and the remainder of the apartment was quaint.
There are no telephones in the room and the reception is quite a walk from the apartments and as I had to contact them about a couple of issues on more than one occasion, see below, this is a little inconvenient.
There are several very nice restaurants, cafes, bars and shops within easy walking distance. Most offer a very reasonable and comprehensive menu of the day and good quality food. La Grappa and Cherito’s were our favourites.
The two biggest issues we had were the main road which is very busy. Inside the apartment and the restaurants, it was hard, if at all, noticeable but outside it was. The second issue was the staff at the resort itself. The cleaning was awful. We had one very good clean after I complained that it hadn’t been cleaned for 2 days and this was addressed that very evening but they missed 2 other visits. I had also complained twice about the very poor quality of the WiFi I had paid for but it wasn’t resolved and I received no feedback on either complaint.
We wouldn’t discount going back to this resort as it is well located for visits to many places and the grounds are some of the prettiest at any resort we have been to but the quality of customer service and the busy road prevent it from being a first choice.
