There is not much more to do if you stay in this spooky resort which is also at least an hour away from any other town or village with rare public transport. Definitely wouldn't recommend it for families with children - they would be dead bored and disappointed.

I would definitely not return to this resort for one reason and that is the lack of air conditioning in the units. The heat was unbearable and we had to hire a fan from reception (at 15 euros per week)

Overall service needs to be improved both from restaurant and hotel staff, to match what they are marked as. So if you expect a 2/3 star facility and service, you will be ok, but if you are used to and know what 5 star means you will be disappointed.

Bahia Blanca Apartments

I stayed here for two weeks. If you aren't English and you aren't a shareholder in this hotel DO NOT GO TO IT! Everyone staying in the hotel is mostly shareholders and they all have a little click with each other and with the people that work there so they all get treated much better and they get served at the bar straight away

Bahia Feliz Gran Canaria

Food was terrible, no sunbeds, bugs everywhere. I have never stayed in a hotel with food as bad as this, despite all the glowing reviews.

By far the worst attitude to customers I have encountered in 3 months of travelling. All the more grating given the rates you pay for the hotel in the first place. It has a nice view of the water but that is true of plenty of alternatives locally. I would encourage anyone reading this to stay elsewhere.

when we were arranging our trips out with the concierge, we were asked if we wanted to have lunch with a member of staff to provide some feedback on the hotel. This turned out to be a fairly high pressure, a two-hour one-to-one presentation on timeshare, despite us making it fairly clear at the beginning of the meal that we weren't interested.

BREAKERS RESORT, KWAZULU-NATAL

My first time at the Breakers Resort will definitely be my last. I didn’t know what to expect but for R15 000 for the week, I certainly didn’t expect the derelict, run down, disgusting hotel and accommodation that we experienced. The hotel was revolting and clearly had been neglected for many years. The room that we had rented through Flexi Club timeshare was worse than nauseating.

Brockwood Hall

Overall we were very disappointed as we love the lakes and also love lodges with hot tubs. We feel Brockwood Hall has been let down by poor management who certainly think little of customer service. We would not recommend Brockwood Hall holiday chalets/lodges.

Bryan’s Spanish Cove

I travel quite frequently for work and vacation once or twice each year. I have stayed at resorts cheaper than Bryan’s Spanish Cove that was absolutely immaculate and well kept. In my opinion, there is absolutely no excuse for the mess and lack of hospitality. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to a friend or family member. Based on our experience, I would also second guess ever staying at another Diamond Resort property.

The room was stuffy so we did what anyone else would do & opened the windows. Straight away the room filled with a smell I can't begin to describe. There were bottle bins at the rear too so that meant the smell coming in was accompanied by wasps... The view was of a shed, bottle bins & the staff smoking area. Lovely. So much for the garden and mountain views described on Duchally's misleading website.

I’m really confused about the AWESOME reviews for Encantada Resort. Maybe it was just our villa that was filthy. The best thing about the villa was that it was close to the theme parks. However 8577 Bay Lilly Loop was really quite a disappointment.

CLC Regal Oaks Resort

Disgusting blood stained and urine covered mattress. There were multiple urine stains and a huge blood stain on the mattress! I was in shock. Santiago and Robert, who took over, gave us another room across the parking lot. Robert said he inspected it and it was fine, but actually on the sheet and mattress pad was fresh blood.

CLC Trenython Manor Tywardreath, PL24 2TS

DISAPPOINTING ROOM
We have just returned from a three night stay at Trenython Manor having been invited by CLC World. Unfortunately, this was not a great start for our introduction to CLC World. After a three and half hour presentation given by Michael and his Manager, Dean, we decided the offer was not for us and upon making this decision we shook hands and left with certainly no bad feeling on either part.

CLOCK TOWER, WHISTLER, BRITISH COLUMBIA

The Clock Tower is right in the heart of Whistler Village about 50 feet from the gondolas, great for skiing, downhill biking and shopping. It is right on the village stroll and can be noisy if your unit is facing the village stroll. This hotel is run by Vacation Internationale and has only 15 units. If you are doing the timeshare exchange, you will be angered by having to pay US$112.15 for hotel taxes and parking for a week.

Clowance Estate

First impressions weren't good due to the amount of work being done and numerous commercial vehicles. I was originally given 'Patio Home' Accommodation for my Timeshare 'point's exchange but asked to be moved as it was very tired & dated.

We were oversold what would be available, and we were not informed of some of the extra fees. Their customer service has been totally unhelpful!

Club Aquarius-Aquamar – Puerto del Carmen

We went to Club Bena Vista for Christmas, with our children, we were going to spend two weeks there, we only stayed 5 nights, because we were broken into when we went out for dinner. They took all the Christmas presents which I had only finished wrapping before going out.

Diamond Resorts, Club del Carmen is a whitewashed resort is a 12-minute walk from animal shows at Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park and 14 km from Museo el Grifo. For a Diamond Resort complex, the rooms are awful. If there was a mark on the wall, you could see it had been touched up.

Club La Santa – Tinajo

While the sports activities at La Santa are right up my street, returning home more sleep deprived than when I started is not. Regrettably, I will be heading elsewhere for my next active holiday.

Club Le Bristol

Warning; despite the altitude, it will get hotter than more northerly resorts sooner, as we found was the case when we went in April. Having said that, slopes are maintained assiduously and skiing in the morning is possible even in the late season.

Overall a very poor holiday at this place and complaints will be made to RCI. The biggest problem here is it’s predominately residential and they don’t want timeshare groups or families on their site it would appear.

The pool was very nice in both locations of the campus. The reception was as good as useless.

There are issues with crawling insects which look like a kind of ant. They infest one side of the suite, having the bathroom completed infested to the point of finding them day after day crawling over towels, clothes, beds and toothbrushes!

We left and we will never return to this place again. The decor was ok, not as attractive as in the brochure, but I really wish they would have had carpet, the flooring was very outdated and not appealing. It seems like they are running a very cheap bare-bones operation there and not taking the guests’ desires and comfort level into account so that people will want to return in the future.

What a Rabble! We stayed at Club Vista Serena for two weeks after reading reviews, both weekends were spoiled by firstly a football tournament and many of the parents and teams staying over the entire weekend this resulted in overcrowded public areas with no sunbeds available all weekend...

There`s no entertainment team at all at “the hotel” ( a dodgy local guy with a turtle and a snake doesn`t count ) so the only option is to sit in the bar watching old music channel ( if you are lucky to get a sit ) or better option is to rent a car and explore or go to the beach which is not far away.

This is a very basic condo, not a luxury resort. The pool is nice. It's right downtown so you can walk to lots of restaurants. The town is like a little city, very built up. Not what I was expecting.

EXPEDITION STATION, WEST VIRGINIA

Snowshoe is a very remote area so there's no running to the store to pick up things you forgot. There's a very small "convenience" store with limited stock on top of the mountain so it's wise to bring anything you think you'll need before arriving. The closest grocery store is about an hour away. Despite my average review if I return to Snowshoe I would stay there again.

The food in the main restaurant (CANTEEN) is terrible at breakfast and even worse at dinner time with the same regurgitated food provided at every sitting, the only food I ate in the hotel was from the Pines Snack Bar during the day which was always freshly cooked and tasty.

Club La Concha does not have the amenities that you’d find in let’s say a Westgate vacation villa, but it is a very very comfortable place to stay if you want to relax on your own private beach. I have to say one thing about Lanzarote, Wine, Wine Wine.

It's in a lovely quiet spot of Ibiza but close enough to be able to walk to Santa Eulalia in approx 20 mins where there are great places to eat and drink and shop - and a great beach as well. You can get a water taxi from Santa Eulalia to other resorts on the Island and also over to the smaller island of Formentera which is well worth a day trip, the sea and the beaches there are something else.

Marriott Grand Residence – Lake Tahoe

The final straw was the construction noise that started around three days in. They were literally jack-hammering and it reverberated throughout our whole floor. It was at this point I called to request a different room. The manager had a long-winded explanation about how each room was deeded to an individual and they couldn’t just give me a different room without an act of congress. What she did agree to do was to abate the $26.00 a day parking fee, which I felt was a rip-off anyway.

Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club

This property will nickel and dime you for everything....even the beach towels. Each person was allotted one towel per day. So if you needed a towel to put on the beach chair and one to dry off with, you had to pay for the extra one. I have never been so disappointed with a Marriott property. I would not recommend this property, as it is run by the Motley Cruë. Upon checking out of this property, I felt as if I needed a vacation to recover from this place.

Basic bottom line - if you are coming to Aruba and wish to stay at an MVC resort - I would recommend that you stay at the Marriott Ocean Club and not the Marriott Surf Club. You will have a much better experience at the Marriott Ocean Club as the customer service and room quality (especially the views) are far superior.

Noise coming through adjoining room door was very loud -- staff was kind enough to switch us to a different room on the first day as the neighbour had shouting kids (worse was the dad screaming profanities at the shouting kids to shut-up). It was like we were in the room with them. Not the fault of the hotel, but the adjoining door setup is not ideal for noise isolation.

The villa was nicely decorated, but it lacked character. It would be nice to see the rooms decorated with more of a Spanish flair. Our bed in the master bedroom was really uncomfortable and our backs were killing us by the end of our stay. I didn’t notice that the mattress sloped down until our fourth night at the hotel. Be prepared to get pressured to take a timeshare tour. I told the timeshare rep, Janina Ferlin, prior to our trip that we had no interest, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer and called our villa every day.

I started itching about 4 days into 1 week Vacation. Upon returning home I was scratching Violently. I went to the doctor $100 visit and was diagnosed with bedbugs/scabies. They are little 8 legged creatures/parasites that get under your skin of its host and bury its body deep under the skin, then produce larva and the eggs hatch producing more. A very serious condition if not stopped, producing sores and scabies that itch like the devil.

After a few of my emails go ignored, I then learn Zach isn't even on the property. I email several more times for assistance, and was simply told my emails were 'passed along to management". Do not stay at this property, and by no means BUY anything Marriott vacation points. Once they have your money, they can't even return an email or address a simple concern about a misplaced package.

Only one building was closer to the ocean than the others–that is the only “ocean front” building but likely only the top 3 floors will really provide a good view of the water. There are two large outdoor pools (one very close to the ocean) and an indoor pool which was also quite large.

Another odd (and somewhat disgusting) note: On the third day of our stay, I noticed that the sheets hadn’t been changed. The housekeeper I spoke to kindly said that I had to request the change with the front desk. When I went to the front desk, I was told that I needed to pay extra to have the sheets changed. I was taken aback because we weren’t staying at an economy hotel - we paid over $300 a night, we have never been asked to pay extra to have clean sheets. I inquired if that was the case even in extended stays of 7 days or more, and I was told yes. From a hygiene standpoint, that is revolting.

MARRIOTT’S CRYSTAL SHORES

I travel a ton for work and pleasure (over 110+ nights/year), and I have an appreciation for the myriad of obstacles that hotels are faced with at times. I have never, in 25 years of travel, been treated worse than I was by Marriott's Crystal Shores. I am a Lifetime Marriott Platinum Elite member and had a reservation cancelled, with no alternative given, 2 weeks prior to my arrival date for a wedding in November.

MARRIOTT’S LAKESHORE RESERVE

We really liked staying here last summer so I booked same 2-bedroom villa for this year's summer vacation. Check in again this year was unfriendly – no smile, no how was your trip, no conversation at all. I know Marriott has strict training so this must be by design? She says only room available was first floor by pool and we'd love it. UGH. Anyone can look inside these units so you’ll want to keep curtains shut and there is no view from dark, enclosed porch not to mention the noise from pool.

MARRIOTT’S OCEANA PALMS

The property, amenities & the beach are beautiful but sadly, I will never come back here again. I am loyal to Marriott, but I don't recommend this resort at all. The Marriott PR/Marketing team should know that a bad experience will override aesthetics. I hope they get it together for the sake of future guests.

Could be amazing but sadly whoever holds the purse strings is not caring for this place. Accommodation is dated but spacious and clean. This is a tired complex with no one seemingly caring to update, you get the feeling that the owner/s whoever they take your money but don't reinvest. The staff are very nice and we felt for them working in such an unloved complex, I guess they receive complaints all day long.

Originally a good place to eat with younger children they have now pushed the child-friendly area outside the Brasserie itself, into a high traffic corridor, under the stairs and right outside the toilet. Lovely.

Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Bay, Village Lane, Fairfield Bay, AR, USA

The resort was nice but getting around was difficult. Our GPS kept directing us to roads that had not yet been paved and the maps and oral directions given by staff were always horrible. We stayed in the Mountain Ridge area and our room had multiple problems because it had completed renovations just a few hours before our arrival.
