Many of the UK’s timeshare owners are currently tied into agreements with Diamond Resorts International – one of the leading timeshare schemes in the USA.
There has been a huge rise in complaints and timeshare release enquires in recent months from clients with Diamond Resorts.
Many concerns revolve around the following factors:
If the agreement with Diamond Resorts was sold “in perpetuity” or you were pressured into an agreement with little knowledge of the implications then you can claim against the resort or a timeshare release on the grounds of mis-selling.
If you believe you had a timeshare agreement with Diamond Resorts and you wish to exit your timeshare scheme & points, please contact one of our experts at Mercantile Claims or fill out the form below.
Rancho Manana is A Diamond Resort
I would have preferred to deduct 1-1/2 stars for a few things which I will mention below.
The resort itself is quiet and very lovely.
For that it is 5 stars. In a 5 star resort, however, you would expect all or most of the experience to be just that, 5 stars.
This is a Diamond Resort and we have stayed with them (in other states) before.
I have seen some of the same at some other Diamond Resorts and why we won’t stay with them in the future until this improves. No free WiFi in the rooms — but we pay a resort fee? That’s not acceptable for us.
We were paying for a view room — but no view (except of the parking lot). Not acceptable for us.
Everything was “counted” — paper towels, coffee, etc., silverware, but a charge for extra coffee, etc? Not acceptable for us.
One last thing that was troubling, our 10:00 AM checkout which was non-negotiable since it was Memorial Day. We have never had a 10:00 AM checkout before, so this was a first for us.
There was a bit of noise coming from upstairs due to kids running around (get a 2nd floor room if you are bothered by noise above you) but the interior was spacious, clean and comfortable.
The grounds are beautiful and cosy.
It is an easy walk to the shops and other restaurants & bars too.

Disappointing.
I have stayed at Rancho at different times over the last six years.
However, in the last two years I feel it has deteriorated somewhat. It has become noisy and less of a relaxing place. We had the misfortune of having a large family with teenagers who constantly played loud music at all times staying below us. This also included the pool area. The pool area has always been a very calm and relaxing place.
However , this year a group of people up to 20 continued to drink and play loud music in the pool.
Despite our request to lower the music, we received a negative response. This made it too uncomfortable for us to stay and left the pool the two days they were there. I hoped that speaking to the management that they would intervene and deal with the situation. Sadly not !
They just shrugged their shoulders and did not want to get involved.I felt quite shocked by their lack of interest and response.
At this point, I felt that I could no longer spend time at the pool or at the casita due to the noise and disruption. Because of this experience I have now decided to book future breaks at The Boulders! If you wish a peaceful calm oasis at Rancho forget it.
Noisy and thin walls
Day one was constant noise from the upper floor from 7am on, called the front desk, no one ever came or called back.
Day two, weed walkers 7:30 right in front of the bedroom, weed blowers right behind the weed wicker guy
Day three…..Left
Ceilings are so thin you can hear every movement in the living room and dining areas upstairs, this includes wood dining chairs sliding across the wavy Saltillo tiles.
My advice, get an upper room or go somewhere else.
Rooms were visually appealing, but plain thin wood doors don’t stay shut and don’t match up easily to get them closed together,so probably some of the noise from the above unit was guests wrestling with the old style wood plank doors….if you don’t mind noise, or get up at 6:30 am,this might work for you…but if you flew overnight and have a time change…go somewhere else.
This is non stop noise if you have anyone above your unit, or if it’s gardening day.
Complained and it was like the front desk was reading her response off of a piece of paper and her closing statement was like she was programmed to only say the same 3 lines no matter what your call was about.
Bottom line, get an upper unit.
Nice resort, good restaurant, terrible reservation and registration experience
Rancho Manana is very nice and the on-site staff were very nice but the procedures they are forced to follow are ludicrous and that makes for a very bad guest experience.
The front desk can not adjust a reservation. You have to call the central reservations number! My experience was that central reservations screwed up one of our reservations, and eventually admitted the mistake and refunded the money. But the front desk could not help with the situation, even though they could see the problem, which was obvious. They had entered a duplicate reservation.
I had to call central res, explain the situation and then wait for them to research the situation and then get back to me with a resolution. Well, I was hosting a big family reunion and had a million other things to attend to.
Any reasonable property would have dealt with this quickly and easily at the front desk but not these knuckleheads. Whoever is making the rules for the property cares more about their internal issues than guest satisfaction.
So just beware, a nice property but a bad res/registration experience that almost cost me a few hundred bucks.
Excellent accommodations in a scenic relaxing setting
We stayed there for three nights, enjoying a luxurious, roomy two-bedroom casita, well-appointed with top-notch furnishings.
The grounds were well-kept and scenic. A few negatives: the resort itself was hard to find initially, our was on the second floor, with a long stairway to carry our baggage (with no help offered by staff).
Our room didn’t have much of a view except the next door neighbours from our balcony deck.
