BEWARE- THIS PLACE TURNS AWAY ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY OFFICERS AND FAMILIES WITH PAID AND CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS.
Diamond resorts international sold us a 3 night stay with a timeshare tour at the Bell Rock Inn, Sedona, AZ just about a month ago. I explained to the person I spoke with that we weren’t planning to see Sedona again anytime soon, unless they happened to have a room this December 26 so we could stay there on our way to Santa Fe and Colorado. They did! Yay!
Upon arriving at our resort after a 12 hour drive, we were told by Sheila at the front desk that we had no reservation at that hotel. Ever.
I produced my bank statement showing the charge, one paper confirmation letter and one email, all from diamond resorts international. The manager, Seth Gibson was called, and after a very long time searching the computer, he offered to rent us a room for the regular rate of $286 a night plus resort fees and taxes. We refused to pay and said we will just sleep in the lobby. Set up camp. Watched while three other couples checked in behind us. Manager called back and offered us a room for the rack rate of $98 a night but only for two nights, not the three we paid for. NO THANK YOU. The lobby works for us.
Just as the kids finally wound down to sleep on the lobby couch and floor, the manager called the police on us for trespassing. That obviously didn’t work, since we had a confirmation letter in hand. We explained what had happened. The officer called Seth Gibson back twice to talk him into finding us a room at another property for at least the night. The manager refused, so we were forced to wake our kids at 1:00 am and drive 2.5 hours in 18 degree ice and snow weather on a very windy mountain road, which had our 9 year old terrified and bawling her eyes out in the back seat until 3 am about how were all going to die.
We didn’t die. We made it the next nearest motel with a room. Found one in Holbrook, paid for a night, passed out at 3:30 am. We just left to see what we can do at this point about the rest of our 9 day trip.
DO NOT BOOK at this resort or with any diamond resorts international /hotels. They will call the police and kick out an Army family on Christmas break with paid and confirmed reservations, even in the middle of a snowy night on a long mountain road with two young children scared, tired and crying.

This place sucks.
There is no management of the property. They are more concerned with selling time share than with helping the actual guests. For example why would you have a washer and dryer if clothes are going to just be sitting all afternoon. The laundry facility states that do not leave clothes unattended. Stay away
Really disappointed with the lack of cooperation from this resort.
We had reservations and due to an unexpected snowstorm of up two feet, we didn’t feel safe driving there in our rental car. I have stayed at several Diamond Resorts in the past, but no more. It would have been nice if they could have worked with us to change our reservation to one of their several other properties in the area. I understand that they also have no control over the weather, but they could have been more helpful to a returning customer.
I showed up at 4pm the room I was promised was not ready and not available and I was told they were fully booked
Staff is rude property looks run down and equivalent to staying at a motel 6. I was told to go to the sister property up the street and that I wouldn’t get charged a cancellation fee.
This property is very disorganized and I did get charged for one and they won’t remove it from my account.
They said a no-show I did show they didn’t have a room and now trying to charge me 85 for a room I never stayed in.
Worst customer service. Don’t stay at this dump !!!!!
Real pretty place...
But so is the Sistine Chapel. That’s what it felt like.
Some sort of freaky geriatric Museum.
Don’t bring your kids. Hell doesn’t even come here.
The Heat keeps you confined to your quarters.
And if you make too much noise in your room the ape downstairs will march across the ceiling with a broom they tell you that quiet time is from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. don’t let that fool you every step you take is being monitored and the minute you slip up you’ll get a call from the concierge.
If you’re lucky they won’t have you and your children were thrown out into the desert in the middle of the night.
That hasn’t happened yet…
Yet and the shower will saw you in half. Who needs 90 PSI to take a shower I know car washes with less pressure than that. So come to the Belcamp read a book gaze longingly into the horizon and think of all the other places you could have been.
They’ve got really good pizza down the block
