Many Jardines del Sol timeshare owners are currently tied into agreements with Diamond Resorts, one of the leading timeshare schemes in Lanzarote.
There has been a huge rise in complaints and timeshare release enquires in recent months from clients with Lanzarote Timeshare Property.
Some of the timeshare owners reported reasons for wanting out of their timeshare as:
Mixed feelings
Stayed here for two weeks as our main summer holiday last year. The top pool was frequently closed, missing tiles making it dangerous and one child ended up in cutting his foot and having to be carried off to hospital. Although, some of that was just that kids seemed to be running wild around the pool area all day/night, which admittedly the hotel itself can’t do too much about.
The apartments weren’t cleaned as regularly as normal practice for diamond resorts and one morning they started digging up the path to our villa with us inside!
The main pool area was very busy and a lot of “sunbed reserving” so if you wanted a bed, you had to join the queue early in the morning, again not what you normally experience on a diamond resort.
The crazy golf was dug up and like an unsafe concrete jungle for the whole of our stay. Despite staying for two weeks and asking at reception many times, our keys still stopped working on the middle saturday and we had to go back to reception.
Overall, those of us who were diamond members were a little disappointed in the resort, but those non-members who had found it at a cheap price seemed more than happy!
If you want a nice quiet break, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want a “round the pool” holiday with the kids, it might be more for you!

Having stayed at this resort before as gold members of diamond, we were very disappointed about how they have let their standards slip.
Complimentary toiletries not in room on arrival and had to ask twice to get them.
Rubbish bin in one bathroom not emptied all week. Safe was very temperamental, as in wouldn’t open or lock most of the time. Swimming pool was not heated and was not offered any alternative until 2 days before the end of our stay.
When asking reception staff why we weren’t informed before or on arrival why the pool wasn’t working we were told to speak to the manager. Also staff gave different lengths of time as to how long the pool hadn’t been heated, from August through to December.
Seeing as the pool is the only facility that is available it’s very disappointing that the staff could not give us any reliable or accurate information.

We booked believing we were staying in Diamond apartments but was on a private complex, apartment looks ok, but then found it has a damp problem, as well as unexpected cockroaches. We did the booking with Trip adviser holiday lettings ltd who were not helpful and would not use again
Wow how things have changed.
I am a Diamond Gold Member and have been coming to the resort for the last 5 years, it has always been one of the best holidays with no complaints, The only reason i am writing the review is because the standards have dropped and the staff are not listening.
Upon arrival we were meet with dirty toilets and unclean floors in the room.
The heated Swimming pool has not been heated for over a month with an excuse they are waiting for a new pump, Children that are brave enough to enter are coming out with cuts due to broken tiles.
The restaurant has recently been taken over and the service is terrible, took 45 minutes to get a drink and a further 45 minutes to get a breakfast.
Some families have given up waiting as it was taking 50 minutes to get a croissant, not even busy at the time!
Staff are to busy chatting to take orders and clear tables.
Apparently voted best Diamond Site in Europe last year, Hope the site manager is reading this as it won’t get the vote this year, not unless the rest of the sites have dropped their standards.

I booked into this villa believing it to be on or part of the Diamond resort complex, so be careful as address jardin del sol about 2 miles away.
The place falls below standard as has rising damp problem and paint coming off walls it says it has full uk tv which is somewhat out of date as sky footprint moved two years ago and now you cant even get news chanels. if you like the god chanel you ll be ok. The internet that it claims will give you uk tv has not been capable of streaming and is constantly on catch up.
Diamond resort apartments are of high standard with good service so beware this renter will not tell you his apartment is not part of the diamond complex and charges over 600 per week for something that has a value about 200 per week

Lovely place, used to be exclusively for Diamond Resort Members only. Now open to Internet booking agencies so a lot of non members coming in and using it like they don’t care – which they don’t as they haven’t paid out thousands of pounds for the memberships and then thousands more for the maintenance fees. Reminiscent of air tours holidays that we were so glad to get out of.
