Marriott’s Sabal Palms
Very Disappointed
I took my 16 year old son to Orlando to play in a large baseball tournament. It was only him and I since my wife and daughter had to stay behind for school varsity basketball tournaments. We arrived on 26 Dec and left on 1 Jan. During the ENTIRE time the units TV’s never worked continuously and were out completely in one room or the other 5 of the 6 nights we were there. The facility maintenance staff finally placed a sense of urgency on fixing the TV system the last night we were there. Housekeeping was very bad. EXAMPLES: 1. Baby powder we used was not dusted off a countertop the entire time we were there; 2. We found dirty paper towels with dried sauce in them from a previous visitor under the kitchen sink. These were never picked up. 3. The kitchen cloth towels provided in the unit were removed on day two and never replaced. 4. Linens, towels and trash were left on our front porch from 4 pm until we checked out the last day we were there. 5. Coffee stains in the sink were left for us to clean. 6. We were given paper towels and dishwashing supplies to last a month but only one day’s supply of laundry Tide and coffee. When I asked about this the reply was that “they must be short”. For the price I paid to have the extra space and advertised conveniences of this location there should never be a shortage of anything and the TV’s should work like magic all of the time. BOTTOM LINE: I will never consider staying at the Sabal Palms again and I will not recommend Sabal Palms to anyone, ever.
