Vacation
I enjoyed my stay until I saw my charges on the credit card. All I’m going to say about why I gave it a 1, I wish there was a zero. HORRIBLE in handling a customer issue.
I even called corporate customer care they also gave HORRIBLE customer service.
Corporate office response to my issue was “they are not at that hotel and they don’t represent what the hotel did in error” so that made me upset even more.
I told him are you not under the same name as Marriot, he repeated himself and then told me that if he didn’t like his answer that I can talk to someone else.
I guess NO ONE IN MARRIOTS cares about the customer service.

Good Sized accommodation but very tired around the edges!
We are Marriott vacation club owners in Estepona southern Spain. We needed to find a Marriott near Miami Port before we go on a Xmas cruise.
The Marriott Villas in Doral were the closest available.
Whilst the accommodation is very spacious and clean with 2 good sized bedrooms and a nice lounge/kitchen area, quite frankly the common areas are very tired and not well maintained or cleaned!
The real plus is they have an arrangement with the Trump hotel opposite allowing Marriott guests to use their facilities which are very nice !!

What a beautiful place only to be highly disappointed when we found BED BUGS ON AUGUST 11, 2017 ! TAKE YOUR FAMILY SOMEWHERE ELSE……
The place really looks awesome – but don’t be fooled my daughter was bitten several times and all they did for uis was put 10, 000 reward points and gave us a refund that they try to call a complimentary night…
I don’t think so see we paid for the room i advance 3 months to be exact so REFUND was in order yet they say we comped you the night….. STAY AWAY !!!
Great service but terrible location
My family and I stayed here for a week in December and had a very enjoyable stay.
Being timeshare holders with the Marriott we have had the opportunity to stay in many Marriotts across the world, and unfortunately this was the most disappointing.
Although we had great service, the facilities were very poor. Only one very small (and cold) pool, which has been built in such a way that it is never in the line of the sun – which meant I had flown to Miami and couldn’t get a tan!
The room was okay, but not up to standard with the other Marriotts. I personally feel it needs to be updated. The location was very inconvenient and it took little over an hour to get into the city.
Desperate for renovation
Stayed here for the first 5 nights of a trip for my husbands 50th, and we were very dissapointed, the size of the units is good however the decor is dated and overall not the standard we have come to expect from Marriott, the shower in the main bedroom was not an area I would even venture into, and we were inundated with ants, I purchased 3 litres of bleech and spent most of my time cleaning, not what I had hoped for, we had a 4th floor apartment great however for 3 days the lift did not work. I would not say we will never revisit as we like the area and have been before however we will wait for a refurbishment which is long overdue.
Average and dated
We stayed in a two bedroom unit with another couple.
If you were a family with a bunch of kids I guess this would be an OK place to stay. But, for me it just seemed tired, dark and boring. Second bedroom is tiny, patio is tiny, master bedroom does not have access to the patio or even large windows and the decor is dated and not at all luxurious.
The pool area was small for the size of the hotel and the pool bar was dingy. Overall not somewhere that I would return to. I must say that all of our interactions with staff were positive and the unit was clean.
Almost forgot, we were right next to the construction and were woken by one of the workers singing opera. My only other stay at a Marriott timeshare was in Key West and in comparison it was luxurious, full of sunlight, had a large patio and great pool area.
Disappointment
We are time share owners of Aruba Surf Club – we have stayed at other Marriot timeshares and hotels.We stayed from 8/16-8/23. We chose this resort because we were dropping off our freshman at the U.
We had to fly in from New York and needed to use it as a home base.
Dirty is the word I would use to describe this location.
The unit we stayed in had stains on the couches and chairs – the unit had not been dusted or mopped in some time. If you chose not to use the elevators there was only one staircase that could be used to enter the pool or to go to and from your car.
The open stairwell was outright filthy. Pool rules were not enforced – smoking in the pool area, guests in pool at 2am in the morning? Drive right by this timeshare
