all business no warmth
We felt like we rented a truck from the home depot at this place. It was a last minute trip to meet up with a friend from residency and they had already chosen this place. The staff was nice enough and greeted us with a friendly demeanour.
The room we were given was an ADA room which smelled musty and had a very uncomfortably firm bed. We were there for one night so I didn’t want to make a big deal about it. The pool closes at nine even in the summer and it was 112 at 12:45 in the am.
We lost an opportunity to perhaps have a cocktail and watch my friends kids swim until 11 on a Saturday night. The next day we had a check out at 10 am which is relatively early compared to other places.
We decide to have breakfast poolside. The security guard checked us in and said, ”
Since you are checking out at 10 today , you will have to leave the pool area by 10 am. KINDA RUDE.
The breakfast was 3.5 /5 stars the food was cooked well but the coffee was served in paper cups and our food was brought to us in plastic containers with pre-wrapped utensils. No refills or visits from the bartenders to see if we needed anything else.
Poor systems from an owner who said on Undercover Boss that he was going to improve diamond resorts
Needs to be updated
This is 2 stars at best. It is an old resort that needs refreshing. Diamond Resorts owns the place and needs to spend a little money on it. The first thing we noted on check in was that the carpet is trashed. Big stains greeted us when we opened the door.
There is a distinctive lack of furniture and decorations.
No barstools at the bar.
Few pictures on the walls.
A toilet in the bathroom that was different colour porcelain than the sinks which were obviously newly installed. There wasn’t a dresser in the bedroom, just a small TV hanging on the wall which looked completely out of place.
It is a timeshare that is open to Diamond members, but they also rent on the open market and I believe they don’t charge enough.
They attract a lot of bottom feeders of the price market which means less than normal respect for the facility.
Throw in a pile of kids who were located in the room above us and did nothing but run through their room each morning and we were happy to check out.
Please raise the price and use the money to fix the facility up.

Very disappointing, won’t ever stay here again
I booked this resort for two nights. The junior villa smelled old and musty and the walls are very thin. They are really pushy about selling timeshares as you exit the lobby after check in.
The 1st morning a huge cockroach ran across the floor. We checked out a date early due to the roach issue. The front desk was not surprised when we told her there were roaches. In fact, none of the employees seemed surprised so I feel like it is a known issue.
We were promised a call from the manager to issue us a refund because he was not in the office at the time. We never received a phone call so we called later that same day and we were told he was in a meeting but they would pass along our message. Still no callback.
The next morning I called again and was told the manager was in a meeting AGAIN and that they would leave him yet another message to call me back. I asked to speak to someone else but Claudia informed me he was the only person who could help me.
She said he is very busy and starts work at 5am (not my problem but ok).
I still haven’t received any communication, refund, or anything from this resort. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. We ended up staying in a different 4 star hotel and we were treated MUCH better. Uploaded pics to show the cockroach. Spend more money and stay somewhere better!
Do you want bad internet, no cell connection, and mediocre customer service? COME HERE!
We stayed here this past weekend for Coachella, as a last minute place to be able to book a stay at a reasonable rate.
However within hotel wi-fi, we still never got any service. Hotel management and staff seemed disorganized and more interested in trying to sell timeshares than even trying to accommodate its guest. We would ask simple questions, like where is the restaurant and they would just point and not even direct us. Also when asked if we could have a coffee from a Keurig we noticed in another room they said, “No, it’s for VIP guest.” I told them during checkout how I have never stayed anywhere that didn’t even try to make people feel welcome.
The only person who was friendly and kind was the bartender Rob who made sure our food orders were correct and tried his best to help us with the internet.
Everyone we have talked to about the internet complained. To think that Coachella had better service and connection than this place.
I am just in awe how a place like this has such great reviews. They only care to push timeshare sales. They could care less about the normal guest. As well as they sure had no problem giving faces that made it seem like they all hated their jobs. All in all, if you ever have a last minute place you need to stay at for Coachella, well this is not the place!

Got lured in by photos of the water slide, wish I would have read other reviews that said not to do this!
My 5 year old wasn’t even allowed to use the water slide because they said he was too small. Lame. They weren’t nice about it at all. Just blowing a shrill whistle and giving dirty , nasty looks.
Poor little guy was so excited, He’s a very good swimmer, better swimmer than I am. All the staff seemed grumpy like they hate their jobs. Ordered food from the bar and it was soggy and cold and disgusting by the time it got to me, and I’m sure it was disgusting before it even got cold. Yuck
Wish I didn’t waste my time and money on this crappy, unwelcoming, badly dated, ghetto place. Never again!
