Please don’t get me wrong, the staff are great.
But they fail to mention that opposite the hotel is a garbage treatment centre, from early morning to late at night it smells like rotten eggs if smells don’t bother you that’s fine. Apartments OK.
Pool area in the centre of the hotel so the whole hotel has a view on you whilst swimming/tanning, one jacuzzi fits 3 at max, for such a big hotel I found this pretty average. Don’t be fooled by the nice pictures of the bridge above the pool, as it is constantly closed and not allowed to be walked on.
Good atmosphere around the area, 10, 15-minute walk into « town », some good English pubs etc, a lot of restaurants around the area are extremely deer and not actually that good, suss out the area before you chose where to eat.
Ok, but noisy!
We stayed for a week and enjoyed watching the water borders go back and forth but missed having a view of the sea. The place was clean enough but we had a lot of ants. If I made sure there wasn’t a scrap of food anywhere they could be kept under control.
The air-con worked well but the recycling place was too noisy during the night. I knew before I booked it from other reviewers and luckily we put my son in the master room and slept on the sofa bed which was way more comfy than the too hard bed and a lot quieter being away from the beeping reversing lorries all night long though he sleeps through anything.
The pool was very clean but has this odd structure that you can’t jump off of our walk on. It just blocks the floats from going around and it is really annoying. The pool closes at 7 and is in shade very early too.
The lifeguard says no floats for adults but the teenagers can have massive turtles and doughnuts. I don’t understand this because I just want to float and watch my young kids on their floats so either has no floats or let everyone use them.
The kids club was ok but I have seen better-organised activities though the lady is nice.
The nighttime entertainment is nonexistent.
Every time we check, it was cancelled.
They advertise big BBQ nights but they are dead, don’t know how the restaurant survives to be honest. I wouldn’t stay here again though I did like that they had an oven as most places we stayed at didn’t. It was also more modernly finished than other Ona resorts on the Island though I was happy I had slippers as the kids’ feet were black after 5 minutes in the place.
Very dirty
Everything is very filthy and it’s very bad that you have to pay for wifi, the living room smells like cigarettes, the windows are dirty. Overall the place looks and smells like it hasn’t been cleaned in 2 weeks.

The apartments were a good size too. but lack of maintenance to repairs severely lacking
Water leaking from air conditioning unit on balcony on a daily basis – slippery and dangerous, and tv in the lounge had a black line towards the bottom of the screen – said they would replace on the first visit by maintenance, after the third request – still, neither problem fixed
Partly spoilt our holiday with the inefficiency – as otherwise a reasonable place to visit and explore the island. We also asked for a quiet room, and the doorbell in the next door apartment could be heard in our bedroom, and this was used several times by the people in the next apartment late at night and constantly.
Standards slipping
Been going to these apt’s for a number of years now and like a few other comments, the place is going down a slippery slope.
Positives….staff are very good, apt’s well equipped, good location.
Negatives … apartments and building looking tired really needed some TLC and paint.
Pool area some days you can have a ball and inflatables some days not, lifeguard one hour told some boys no ball then an hour later was playing football with other boys no consistency.
The biggest issue is the standard of cleaning14 days 4 cleans and we were lucky another family 21 days only 3 cleans, in my opinion, the money that you pay for these apt’s you should be receiving better services
