Owners of Blue Sea Callao Garden timeshares often find themselves trapped in infinite contracts with rapidly increasing maintenance fees which ultimately stems from a mis-sold timeshare contract. Over recent years there have been a number of groundbreaking rulings concerning mis-sold timeshares by many timeshare groups and resorts which have resulted in refunds and compensation. Many owners of Callao Garden timeshare contracts are entitled to terminate their agreements and when asked why they want to get rid of their timeshare, they cite reasons such as high increases in fees including maintenance fees, high pressure sales people at the presentation insistent them into buying timeshare weeks, and contracts committing owners to paying fees “in perpetuity” meaning their heirs will have to continue with the payments after they have died.
Please check before you book
I have just returned from the Blue sea Callao gardens…..paid a lot of money All Inclusive. please check your all-inclusive conditions you only get DB&B but your drinks are free no snacks through out the day.
The rooms need a desperate update. the staff on reception need training the food needs sorting so you can eat it. the restaurant needs air-conditioning.
If you are bad on your legs please do not go here there are too many steps we had to climb 96 steps to our room.
I booked a superior room I got basic. you have to pay for TV at 1 euro per hour & only 3 English channels which are News channels.
No hot water for a week even after informing the reception 2 towels between 3 people ask for more but got a very strong NO.
Tiny mites all over the furniture/beds.
Nobody speaks English that works there, the only good thing was the pools 3 plus lots of sunbeds.
The area is small Bars & restaurants no small shops to browse in.
I would never go back.

Appalled
Blue Sea Callao garden is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever been to in my entire life.
To start with I should mention that you have to walk up hundreds of steps just to get to your room. (Which they can’t exactly help)
We paid for all inclusive and the food is woeful, they put out the same food every single night for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
They have two bars in the entire hotel, one of which does not open at all which means in such a big hotel you have to walk to the other end of it just to get a drink.
They make you pay for bottled water regardless of whether you are all inclusive or not.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, all you have around you are a few restaurants and souvenir shops and incredibly expensive supermarkets. The only way you could ever go out for a drink would be if you got the bus or a taxi to and from either Adeje or Americas which is a lot of effort.
The hotel gets worse if you are a family as the kids entertainment consists of Spanish people doing karaoke and a man in a cheap Fred Flintstone outfit. doing “head, shoulders, knees and toes” on a crappy small stage.
The mattresses are absolutely filthy, I accidentally caught the sheet and it was like nothing I have ever seen before.
And they will not even let you print off your boarding pass on the way home.
After all this happened I thought maybe I had been a bit harsh on this hotel only to overhear a couple talking about the exact same thing and they are also disgusted with the service they have received.
The staff are mainly unhelpful, the only helpful person I came across was a man called angel on the reception desk who was lovely and did what he could to help.
I would never recommend this place to anyone and hope that this review could help save someone else from spending money on a dreadful holiday.
Yet another holiday from hell
Blue Sea Callao Garden Tenerife
This Holiday was to have a stress free time after having a major heart attack hmmm
From the moment we arrive, it was a disaster for us. The room was stinking of damp with no sunlight what so ever funny that went to Tenerife for the sun.
The furniture was old and stained. The Bathroom was also dirty and did not look as if it had been Cleaned what so ever.
The bath was worn through to the base metal with rust and enamel peeling off which could quite have easily sliced into your feet or any other part of your body..
The walls were also very thin with flat screen TV’s bolted to them with no hotel mode switched on so all night long you had to put up with the noise from them coming from all sides. This is easily remedied but nobody was prepared to listen and sort.
The hole of the complex is situated over a very steep hill so hundreds of stairs everywhere and all over the complex there was broken and loose stair tiles that could send you tumbling down fifty – sixty stairs in some areas or cut your feet.
The reception staff and manager did not care about anything you said just smiled, in one ear out the other. No matter what they tell you they will do is forgotten about the next day.
Had to wash the floors and clean your own room to keep the bugs down as cleaning was hit and miss even washed our own sheets as the had been left for 8 days.
Food was served in a factory like a canteen and at best average most of the time cold and not fully cooked. Chicken and Pork were on the menu every day and in my opinion not cooked enough don’t eat chicken that is to underdone as a rule. Although we were all inclusive we just stopped eating there!!!
Pets are allowed so had the privilege of having to dogs barking all day and all night for 30 days in the room next to me.
It is not 3 stars anything! the pictures used on the website are probably from when the place was originally built 20 years ago at least.
The only thing I can put a positive to was the weather!
All in all this place was a total waste of money.
I think Travel agents should start to visit some of the places they sell you and not waste your hard earned cash.
Blue Sea Callao Garden
I have given this a two-star rating but that’s only because the apartments are nice and spacious and nice balcony.
I would certainly not go back nor would I recommend it to anyone.
The apartment although large was badly in need of refurbishment as bits of wood were missing off floors and a bit by the bidet broken off and lying on the floor.
Ants in the kitchen and bathroom – they do give you a bottle of ant power to put down.
The dining room was like a school canteen only worse.
Nearly every table shoogled and the menu was uninspiring, to say the least.
Worst apartment we have ever stayed in
We stayed here on a timeshare exchange. We were in a self-catering apartment, number 297, which had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
The lobby and reception area is very nice and looks newly decorated, but this fools you into thinking that the apartment will be the same. Other apartments maybe, but ours looked like it should have been completely refurbished, or better still totally gutted and remade.
The receptionist was very nice and friendly but tried to persuade us to pay for an all-inclusive option.
As there were no menus to show what sort of meals you could have in the restaurant, we turned her down. That was when she told us which apartment we were going to have.
It was down a fairly steep hill, at the far end of the complex. We felt we had been shoved out of the way. The outside of the building was very shabby, whereas those near the reception looked newly decorated.
Inside, the apartment had 2 bedrooms; 1 twin room and 1 main double room. In the double room the bed was pushed against a wall, (the mattress was a little firm, so was okay for us).
There were no bedside tables, and it was not possible to move the bed because of a large set of drawers that were in the way. We didn’t use them because we were afraid that if we did they would fall apart, (you could see that some of them were badly damaged, as were others in the apartment).
One of the bedside lights, which were fixed to the wall, was broken. It never worked, even with a new light bulb. There were very few hangers in the wardrobes, so I am glad I took my own.
The sofa bed in the sitting area was extremely uncomfortable and broken.
The dining area was uncomfortable, and the table was very, very sticky. We did not use it.
The only things we used in the kitchen were a couple of glasses and cups and saucers. These we washed out with just hot water and left them to drain. There was no washing up liquid, no washing up sponge or scourer and no tea towel. I took a hand towel from the bathroom to wipe my hands in the kitchen, but the maid took this and didn’t replace it.
The maid came in 3 times during our 7 night stay, but we couldn’t see that she had done much except change the towels and made the bed. The dust that was on the floor when we arrived was still there when we left.
The extra charges were excessive. The safe was 15.75 euros. The internet was 6 euros per day. The TV 1 euro per hour. Apart from the safe, which is a must, we didn’t use anything else.
The bar was tiny and next to one of the pools: we only used it once.
The restaurant was next to another pool, but never displayed a menu: we never used it.
We never used any of the sun loungers because there were very few sunshades. Most of them were fixed with palm leaves for the shading, but they were all broken or the leaves were missing.
The only plus point was the two balconies in the apartment. They were both quite large and had a sort of sea view. The sea was straight ahead, but there were trees partially blocking the view of it.
We would never stay here again, nor would we recommend it.
THE HOLIDAY FROM HELL IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE
This place should be blown off the travel map!! on arrival late in the evening 10.30pm we were given a couple of pieces of fruit and 2 dry sandwiches as everything closes at 11pm!!!!
We were also asked to pay for our electricity and water for the week at 22 euros – we were not informed of this when booking the holiday.
We had so many flights of stairs up and down to get to our apartment and then another two flights of stairs with our luggage – no one assisted and didn’t care if we found it or not.
There was no air conditioning just a fan in the middle of the lounge, the place was old dirty and run down and the towels were threadbare!
Two days later a man called Sid came into our apartment to check if we had any questions or complaints! after an initial chat he asked us if we were owners or interested in his timeshare chat!!!! News to us!!
When we told him we were not the least bit interested he just got up and walked out…. I have been to Tenerife many times and this is not the Costa Adeje!!! we had to get buses and taxis to and from Torvisca to eat, sunbathe and socialise.
The pool areas are very poorly equipped with little or no parasols it is also All Inclusive so unless you are one of those boarders you don’t exist.
The place is so old and run down it was a complete waste of £600 NEVER AGAIN.
When they offered us a Courtesy room to use on our departure I have never seen such a filthy disgusting place in my life, there were threadbare towels strewn all over the bathroom and discarded toiletries everywhere.
BE WARNED DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE!!!!
Book elsewhere
Shocking and outdated apartments with no air conditioning
Staff are very unhelpful and no shower room on check out, fully booked.
Ii was told but didn’t even ask what time i was leaving !!!
Do not book there huge disappointment and very old outdated furniture not all pools were open , book elsewhere
Hotel of stairs hills and roaches
Ok, we have just come back and it was the dirtiest cockroach infested hotel I’ve ever been to. We where all inclusive and the bar staff especially Sandra she would only serve Spanish first even if you had been in a queue for ages the Spanish would just walk up and get served, the rule is only 2 drinks but if you are Spanish you can get as many as you like, a few of the bar staff where like this.
I am disabled and so is my dad and we requested lower ground floor apartments again these seem to be given to the young Spanish people and when we asked to be moved as we where up 2 flights of stairs we where told sorry there is no rooms and sorry for a hotel of such a big size I do not believe there where no rooms available for us.
The food is rank although you could find at least one thing you liked it was 2weeks of chips and Turkey most nights and fish that smelled bad and was always overcooked.
I had diarrhoea from day 2 until I got home my wife also had it a few times so take plenty of tablets with you.
Our room was so bad holes in the towels and the beds where just made every 2 days and sheets changed every 4, I found mouse poo in my room and cockroaches even crickets.
My wife even took a picture of a big rat running around the wall of the big swimming pool.
It was a family holiday our first one as a big family and this hotel was 3 star and we have stayed 3 star in Turkey and it was much nicer and air con in the rooms free TV and no extra wildlife in our room, how this hotel got 3 stars I don’t know it’s a poor 2 and that’s being kind .
The swimming pool where only cleaned with a net it was never hoovered like other pools to make sure there is no sand or glass in the pool and loads of tiles missing.
The pool has lots of chloroform in it and there was a lot of people complaining about this.
The animation lady was great with the kids and my daughter loved her she was the highlight of our holiday Irina is her name and she always has time for you.
I could go on and on about this place but there is just so many wrongs I can’t list them all I mean having to pay for TV come on I have been all over the world and have never ever seen anything like the old fashion payment meter on the TV €1 for 1 hour it terrible. But you can get Spanish channels for free how fair is that?
Look at the ceiling in the restaurant it has water damage all over it and in places, the hotel looks like it is just about standing.
How anyone could have given this 5 I don’t know obviously never been to a proper hotel before.
Sunbeds are broken so choose wisely and if you were to choose wisely just don’t go here it’s a waste of money and it will be a big let down.
My wife and I did the brave face for the kids but really we could have just cried and one last thing do not go here if you have any physical disabilities because there are hills and steps and no handrails or lifts all over and they do not care they will not move you. Ps check your fresh towels as we were always finding stains and hairs and holes.
Lovely country would go back but I would be more careful with my choice of hotel and believe what I read next time , I thought it could not be as bad as some where saying trust me it’s even worse. Hotel from hell.
