Villa number 404/3
This looked a great villa in the online photos that suited our needs as a family. 3 bedrooms 2 ensuite and a pool.
And that’s all it did. Look good in the brochure.
When we arrived in the villa our first thought was should we leave and find somewhere else but, as we had just paid the agent Tim an English man in cash and the kids were so tired we stayed.
The first thing we did was phone Tim to send back the cleaners. When they came their lack of enthusiasm was unreal. After watching the lack of effort I told them to leave me the cleaning products and go. Then spent the 1st hour cleaning the worktops showers and toilets.
This villa is dirty.
Showers toilets sinks floors sides of cabinets fridge cookers sofas pool everything.
But as the agent said it was cheap!?!?!
It doesn’t cost anything to keep a place clean and clearly this has been building up for a long time. It would take a week to clean it properly.
It looked so nice in the brochure we feel cheated.
The villa could be lovely but is just short of a poor b&b in Blackpool.
Do not stay in this one. There are loads more for rent on the beautiful complex pick one of them.
On the plus side the location is good and only a short walk to the main bahrt bus route and the communal pool is lovely.
Needs TLC
Have stayed here a number of times over the past 10 years and the place needs some TLC by the maintenance crew.
On the whole it is a nice and quiet location with the privacy of having your own pool in a high walled garden however it is beginning to look a bit worn out and tired.
I stayed in the exact same villa a few years ago and it still has the same problem. Aircon not working so well.
Garden Floor bed walls falling down.
Paintwork outside looking a little shabby.
Door to pump room falling off.
Water pump that sounds like a single cylinder Diesel engine when you turn on the water. Not good in the middle of the night if you go to the bathroom. You’ll wake up your partner and Or the neighbours.
If you can close your eyes to these points you’ll enjoy your stay.
Overall satisfied
We were supposed to stay in Jomtien, so this area was perfect. A lot of people say that it is not central, well if you are looking for a place near Pattaya, well Yes it is quite far away. But in my opinion, Jomtien is an area a lot prettier!
The room we rented was located at 5th floor. It was spacious, had everything that we needed, and we had a great stay. The pool was also great!
Only minuses were:
– we had to pay for WiFi. And if you are two people, and want to use the internet at the same time. You have to buy 2.
– cleaning and electricity are not included in the rent.
– reception workers don’t speak a lot of English
Never Again
Despite making a booking more than 2 months before my arrival at View Talay 2 Apartments in Pattaya South, I was shown to an Apartment on the 12th Floor, which looked as it had never been serviced in weeks.
There was no sheets on the bed, no pillowcases and blankets in the room. No duvet and worst of all no coffee, tea and sugar which was urgently needed for a boost following a long flight and taxi ride. Toiletries were non-existent. About to jump into the shower, but hesitated to check for a towel. As expected no towels in the Apartment. And further to my horror no toilet paper. Checked under the sink, not to be seen but my effort caused the cupboard door to depart its hinges.
Noticed a small convenience store in the Lobby so quickly headed downstairs and stocked up with essentials for me, fortunately, only one night stay. Called into the Office to complain about the lack of bed sheets and Towels and was reluctantly issued with bare rations. Reminded me of my Army days.
Back to the Apartment and looking for an early night sleep as I had an early start to Cambodia next day. Horror, my key would not open the door. Back down to the Office and fortunately caught the girl before she departed for home at 6 pm. Needing convincing of my plight, the young lady accompanied me back to the Apartment and when the door would not open accused me of having the wrong key !!!!!!!! Another wait of 20 minutes prevailed before she returned with the master key which opened the door but she was reluctant to give me.
Fortunately, the kettle worked but no Wi-Fi and more, fortunately, I was departing this place early next morning.
Rated the worst accommodation that I have ever stayed in Thailand.
NEVER AGAIN in a Thousand Years
Time Share exchange at View Talay
I have just come home after my fourth stay at View Talay. This resort could be very nice, however, the upkeep has become worse with each visit and the resort now looks shabby. Nothing has been updated since I first went there in 2008.
Very bad check out service
Firstly I arrived here on the 26th Sept 2015, don’t get me wrong the staff are nice enough but the gentleman who owns this resort is very rude, the apartments are much in need of updating, they wanted to service the air con in the room while I was staying there, they should do this when guest or not staying in the room, check out day, I have always had a courtesy room for free with me being a timeshare owner and I exchanged with interval international, they wanted an extra 1000 baht for this as well as 3000 baht on arriving there, and they want cash no debit cards, I said no to the 1000 baht and ended up having to get washed and changed in the poolside toilets which were very degrading, to say the least, i will never stay here again, and a place like this should not be used as timeshare.

Great Holiday
Well where do we start ,like other people we purchased a holiday voucher thru E Bay so did not know what to expect but was VERY impressed with the resort, the facilities and staff were FANTASTIC, the room we had [ 1 bedroom with king bed ] had everything we could have ever wanted 2 A/Cond 2 TVs, nice balcony overlooking the fantastic pool.
But about Pattaya that’s another story, we had never been before and wouldn’t bother again ,,,,it was very dirty and would have to have the worst roads in Thailand for an area that relies on tourism it is a disgrace after a while you get sick of walking in mud and dogging large puddles everywhere you go.
But if you are looking for a very relaxing holiday I could not recommend View Talay any higher considering we only paid $99 for a 7 night holiday
Low rise sanctuary amongst the high rises and the bustle
More a gated community than a hotel, View Talay Villas offer a welcome bit of calm amongst the hustle and bustle of Jomtien. We stayed in two one bedroom villas for part of the trip and a two bedroom villa for the remainder. All were relaxing and self-contained. They’re not cheap, however, and the villas are starting to look tired; there are persistent issues with the water supply, the breakfast is rudimentary (and the same each day) and the communal pool area has been taken over by what appears to be staff and clients of a Russian travel business. These niggles apart, View Talay Villas is a good option for a short to medium term stay in Jomtien.
Christmas in Thailand
These villas are great. Location is perfect for a short walk to the beach and lots of lovely restaurants. The villa we stayed in was a bit dated and could do with a refurb. We also had no WiFi which the villas advertise. The villas were cleaned daily and the cleaning staff were lovely. Gated entrance with friendly security staff. The pool bar staff were not as friendly but the food was good. We would definitely stay here again and would give it 5 stars if the villa was updated and the WiFi worked.
