Three trips to Ibiza, three stays at Los Pinares and would happily return
These apartments are great. Lovely spacious rooms, quiet and peaceful with a couple of nice sized pools, a nice bar that serves good food and great drinks.
It’s in a lovely quiet spot of Ibiza but close enough to be able to walk to Santa Eulalia in approx 20 mins where there are great places to eat and drink and shop – and a great beach as well. You can get a water taxi from Santa Eulalia to other resorts on the Island and also over to the smaller island of Formentera which is well worth a day trip, the sea and the beaches there are something else.
I can’t praise the staff at Los Pinares highly enough. Lilibeth is a delight to deal with and couldn’t be more helpful if she tried. Oscar (?) the guy who runs the bar does look a bit grouchy sometimes but he’s got a great sense of humour and he’s also friendly and helpful.
We first booked the apartments through a package deal but you can deal with Lilibeth directly and you’ll get the same apartment for a better price than through a travel agent and she’s more than happy to book directly. Flights to Ibiza are common and you can get good deals so you don’t have to book a package.
The apartment is about a 25 min drive from the airport but the taxies aren’t expensive. I would recommend hiring a car though as Ibiza is a wonderful island with many varied towns and places to visit, from Ibiza town at one end to Portinax at the other, and all within a car drive of less than an hour if you base yourself at Los Pinares.
Watch the weather though, we’ve been in June and July and it was perfect, lovely and hot and great for sunbathing, but we also went in Oct and it rained for most of the week.
I’d happily recommend Ibiza as a holiday destination – it’s got a reputation of being a party island full of clubs and kids, but that couldn’t be further from the truth in most of the island, it’s beautiful and peaceful and very relaxing – and I’d certainly recommend Benet Los Pinares as a great place to have a fantastic holiday.
