Not the standard
Where do i start , well the staff were very friendly
Furniture and room well worn and out of date far from the standard promised by rci
Cleaning was useless even when it was done had to costantly ask for fresh towels and toilet roll as they always forgot
RCI states that they never let hen or stag parties but the Palm Beach was full of them for the whole 4 weeks. we would not recommend the palm beach to anyone and will never go back there myself very very dissapointed !!!!!!!!!
Owned here for years but...
We have owned here for years and enjoyed our end of winter break year on year. When we were forced to accept the majority of palm beach being turned into a hotel it, basically rung a “death bell” for those of us left.
We have had our ownership eroded and looted along with our (once lovely)apartments. Each year less and less remains and more is removed or no longer replaced when damaged.
Yes, our apartments are tired. We accept that no one gives a toss because the powers that be don’t want us here any longer. They’ve taken our hard earned maintenance and purchase money and used it for the benefit of others. BUT we still pay maintenance fees every year. Where is the evidence of this maintenance?
Last year we moved into our apartment (220) to find that it had not been cleaned after the last occupancy. There was blood stains on the curtains, pee stains on the toilet seat, general “stickiness” all round. I complained- it was dealt with, efficiently and swiftly.
This year, I entered the apartment to find pretty much the same but more & more items are missing… Yes, housekeeping had been round with a damp cloth and changed the bed sheets/towels BUT why do things keep being removed? Lamps have gone. The DVD that wasn’t working last year remains but half the kitchen stuff is missing. Scatter cushions, missing. Bathroom tumblers- missing. Kitchen roll- missing. No dishcloths (I bought them myself). I did get some washing up liquid after complaining and the bedroom curtains re-hung (yes-also missing on arrival!!!).
Bedcovers are stained. They look to have not been changed in months. Everything looks generally grotty and the “piece de resistance”- our front door looks to have been kicked in and the wood is splintered cracked… maintenance anyone???? And why do we suddenly not have enough hot water. We now only have enough hot water for one shower!! This is a 2 bed apartment that sleeps 6!!!!
What exactly are we paying it for? Certainly not for OUR apartments. When do we get to see the benefit of the refurb that is benefitting hotel guests? The website shows lovely clean rooms all white and shiny. See pics for how they treat owners that have paid in for over 30 years…. we are here for another 2.5 weeks if anyone from Palm beach is interested in speaking to us…
Have been coming to this hotel for 25 years
Palm Beach Club Tenerife
This year the standard of the hotel has dropped dramatically.
The cleanliness of the apartments is apulling.
The furniture is old and falling apart.
People do not respect the apartments and the pool area is disgusting the floor area has not been washed sweeped in the last 2 weeks.
It used to be a nice quiet hotel now they have package holidays there including hen and stag parties there is no rules and regulations
Tired and in need of a good clean!
Such a shame this hotel is so neglected.
It’s very tired, old and dirty.
We have 4 rooms, all on different floors and all different sizes to accommodate our families. Every room has maintenance issues.
The bathrooms are quite gross if you have a proper look. The wood on the door frames is swelling and dirty, around the bath/shower is black. In the wardrobe there’s Wood chippings falling into our clothes. Wall sockets hanging off.
The pictures that are advertised are so far away from what the actual room looks like it’s unbelievable how they are allowed to miss sell??
The settees which pull out into beds are old and smelly. The floors don’t stay clean after mopping because they are so old. The bed sheets have old stains on and have holes in. There’s bits of paint falling off walls and ceilings everywhere.
The list is endless and I do unfortunately mean endless.
The pool area is actually amazing. Amazing in the fact that the guests are expected to lay on disgustingly filthy sun loungers, topped with very old disgusting mats that have cigarette burns on and broken zips so the foam is hanging out and catching a different persons sweat daily!!!!! For the first 3 days there was no pool towels either??
The bar and restaurant staff are very nice as are the cleaners but unfortunately I must assume there isn’t enough cleaners to do their job properly??
I’ve been out and bought a mop and disinfectant to keep my room clean, shouldn’t have to really tho!
There are far better places to stay other than palm beach, probably for less money. Only stay here as a last resort.
The rooms are in a very poor state of repair and upgrading, the furniture is at least 10 years old and certainly not worthy of even 3-star accommodation. We had equipment missing so maids not checking itenary before new members arrive, a water leak in the bathroom from the above floor, no mats for outside recliners, had to request from the desk and always had a good response from them.
A shame i love it here and all the staff are very good, it just needs money spending on accommodation.
