Skip sunrise ridge resort and Diamond
Resort staff and management were extremely rude, condescending, slanderous to guests and lied to us. They refused to honour special ticket pricing that they gave to us. We also found mould in several places in our room, horrible resort, staff and management!
Not the same....
Sunrise Ridge has always had THE BEST staff at any resort- anywhere! Connie and her staff at the check- in counter are always smiling, helpful, and extremely professional!!! They always nake us feel like we are coming home again!
The maintenance staff is excellent, prompt and always go above and beyond.
This last trip my mother-in-law’s walker lost a bolt that made it unusable. We thought her vacation was ruined. Sunrise Ridge to the rescue! The maintenance staff quickly matched the bolt and within minutes had Mom mobile again!
I’ve always loved Sunrise Ridge! My complaint is the changes now that Diamond Resort has bought out Amber. The tides are turning! Now, you are swarmed by pushy salespeople (3 when we arrived) the second you walk in the door! Getting checked in is no longer a pleasant end to a long drive. Gird your loins as the battle to get to your unit begins within minutes of your arrival!!! Check-in is in no way the same! While the office is no larger, now you add 3 salespeople all pushing their tours, including moonshine tastings, (.. says volumes about the integrity of Diamond Resorts to me!) all while others are trying to get checked in. The lack of extremely pushy salespeople has always been a plus. That’s definitely gone now. You will have to say no REPEATEDLY!!! The noise level in the small office is ridiculous and far from the welcoming atmosphere we are accustomed to at Sunrise Ridge!!!
Going Down Hill Fast
My husband and I are timeshare owners who bought into Sunrise Ridge when it was being built. Outside of the fact that the annual maintenance fees have risen annually to now astronomical amounts, this used to be a great vacation getaway. We recently noticed it was almost impossible to book time here. We finally got a reservation and brought our grandchildren for a summer vacation. We are beyond angry and disappointed! The resort is run down and unkempt. The apartment appears stripped of decor (which used to there) that makes it feel homey and luxurious (no centrepieces on the coffee or dining room tables, no artwork, no throw pillows on the sofa, etc.) No updates have been made to the furniture, carpet, or paint for years. The hot tub has caution tape around it (out of order). The “Fun Room” is being torn down and is no longer available. There are no scheduled activities posted. Rotted wood, rusted metal and cracked concrete is noted throughout the entire complex. The kitchen has only one (1) warped frying pan and a couple of huge saucepans. There are no mixing bowls. Utensil handles are broken and inadequate. The place is poorly furnished. I can’t help but wonder what happened to the maintenance money paid by owners since it clearly has not been used for the upkeep of the facility. My grandchildren are NOT having a good time and I’m majorly upset! “Resort” does not seem like an appropriate description for this place. I do NOT recommend!
