Stay away from diamond timeshares
If you’re on the fence about purchasing Diamond Resorts timeshare points let me start by telling you to RUN AWAY and never look back!
Diamond is right up there alongside some of the shadiest and most dishonest car salesmen you have ever heard of. Picture Danny DeVito in Matilda kinda shady maybe even worse.
We went for what was supposed to be a 120 minute sales presentation and ended up lasting over 8 hours and yes we did end up purchasing ( we caved from all the pressure and mistreatment).
Some of the tactics were: taking our ID’s and not returning them, making promises that the points were an investment and would appreciate in value, and not adequately explaining the difference between deeded weeks and club points.
You see there is no reasonable way I would ever have committed thousands of dollars to a company who can’t be transparent with its customers.
I could go on for days about the sales presentation but I simply want to warn prospective buyers that what they are doing is by FBI definition white collar crime in that they are pulling the bait and switch and deceit. If they could do this to me and my family they will not think twice about doing this to you and your loved ones

Horrible visit and don’t recommend MYSTIC DUNES
We are Silver member with Diamonds Resort International AND with SAMPLER.
We are a TIMESHARE owner BUT mistreated BADLY during our MEMORIAL HOLIDAY visit. We are member with this owner resort SINCE 2011.
We PAID A LOT LOTS LOTS of money BUT we’re NOT SPECIAL in the eyes of Diamonds Resort International.
We live in Alabama and it’s about 10 hours travel 1 way! We started a WONDERFUL DAY we had a DATE NIGHT watching SOLO movie AND ate one of the restaurants in Kissimmee FL. WE came in late BUT the reservation since January.
This is NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVED!
When they accepted the reservation it should be assigned NO MATTER WHAT! I DON’T remember that our RESERVATION IS STUDIO! SINCE 2011 reservations with Diamonds properties
I NEVER NEVER reserved STUDIO!
The management in Mystic Dunes was HORRIBLE! I FELT INSULTED and CALLED AS “LIAR.”
The STUDIO was so small, small living space with a small fridge, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE BED, TV is NOT smart because CABLE is NOT clear screen, WI-FI was very bad and on and on…
OUR MEMORIAL VACATION WAS HORRIBLE AND UNFORGETTABLE BAD experience with MYSTIC DUNES.
We will NOT STAY WITH MYSTIC DUNES EVER! I DON’T RECOMMEND MYSTIC DUNES AT ALL!!!!
Do not recommend.
This is the worst place I have ever stayed. It was outdated, dirty and stunk of cigarette smoke. The smell of smoke and old filth was worst when sitting on the couch.
The hotel is separated into cell blocks and you pretty much have to take a golf cart from place to place. I was in block 31 and my family was in 16 – they didn’t do anything to keep us close together. The carts were fine when they showed up but several times we waited over 30 minutes ( you must wait out at the curb – they won’t let you know when three have arrived for pick up).
The only saving grace was the restaurant Kenzie’s, the food was quite good and prices were reasonable.
This is a Diamond resort timeshare – if this is the standard they accept I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing a timeshare from this company.
DO NOT BE CONNED INTO STAYING IN THIS VILE PLACE
You will be harassed, humiliated, pressured, mislead, Robbed, spoken to as if you are S***e, and eventually conned into something, that unless you pay through the nose, will be with you forever!! Do not even go past the water feature at the front gate, it’s like entering a nightmare, that doesn’t end. Taking on the noose that is a timeshare with diamond resorts, you will never have a response, from enquires, or trying to make a booking….do yourself a favour and move on, and any property connected to diamond resorts should be avoided at all costs, you have been warned.
Diamond Resorts Never Again
This was just about the worst experience I have ever had trying to check into a hotel.
1. The hotel said my reservation was cancelled even though I had a valid Hotels.com booking.
2. I was told Hotels.com needed to call their reservation line to get things resolved. Hotels.com tried calling for over an hour and nobody answered the phone.
3. Even with a Hotels.com agent on the phone, the manager refused to speak with them and kept insisting they call the number nobody was answering.
4. I asked if there was a direct number the Hotels.com agent could call. At first I was told yes, then I was told no because that person was about to step into a meeting (at 4:08 pm).
5. After nearly 2 hours, the hotel refused to help in any way other than having Hotels.com call the number that nobody answered.
In the end, I had to have Hotels.com move me to another hotel nearby – which they happily did, though they couldn’t understand why the hotel was treating me the way that they did.
I have stayed at this properly several times before, but I will never go back again. I would also never stay in another Diamond Resorts property ever again.
