When I went to CLC at Fuengirola with my friend and daughter we went to the sales pitch to get the full English breakfast, we had a lovely look around some amazing apartments but kept telling the sales rep that we weren’t interested, it was too expensive and there was no way we would be signing up for anything.
He was a realist and understood and only mentioned costs etc when another rep was within earshot and at the end of the tour, he dropped us back at our apartment and thanked us for our time. The same thing happened 20 odd years ago at another 5-star resort on the coast. We had a lovely nosey around, picked up 5000pstas and a free taxi to Puerto Banus. Again we had a rep who was realistic and knew there was no way we were going to buy. You have to be sure that you do not want to get involved and leave your credit cards in the apartment so you are not tempted at all.
The sales meetings rely on people being bamboozled by the great apartments and feeling that they can make use of them. Fact is you could never have enough holidays in your life to make any of them worthwhile!
